This is really, really good! I have never seen any drama with Okada Kenshi before this one, but he has charmed…
I'm a stan but have never watched Chuugakusei Nikki. MIU404 is good though, the casts were great and Kenshi-kun here was a total eyecandy. Though character wise Irino >>> Kokonoe (his chara in MIU404
As long as her bond & relationship with Irino never changes, I will be happy if she is happy with Wataru.
I don't think I could handle Irino's heartbreak though. Poor boy, he has family issues, his last "gf" played with him and now he has one sided love. Please director-nim, makes him finally happy.

If you don't mind please branch out to other genres, I think romcom isn't jdramas strong point though lately there are some enjoyable ones like Love lasts forever or Remolove. I believe that Jdramas are better known for its procedural, detective, serious or slice of life dramas.
3rd japanese drama I've watched and I gotta say they're just not for me ...to out there (to say the least)
hi, may I know what the other 2 are? I know jdramas aren't everyone's cup of tea but there are wide variety of them. Personally I couldn't bring myself to like this drama, too bad since the ML is one of my most anticipated Japanese young talents.
from wiki: Taiga drama (Japanese: 大河ドラマ, Hepburn: Taiga dorama, "Big River Drama") is the name NHK gives to the annual year-long historical drama television series it broadcasts in Japan
Nope, I enjoyed the 2 first episodes and will absolutely bingewatch this after the subs are complete. Still better than your average detective/police jdramas.
I've watched episode 1 and it's way better than I expected. The cinematography is beautiful, the casts are lovable. Don't follow the anime so I can't compare. Kudos for the casting direcfor for choosing relatively young yet talented actors.
If you don't mind slow paced movies, please try Sweet Bean and My Favorite Girl or Mother. As for dramas, maybe Yutori desu ga, Kyou kara orewa and Kono Koi Atatamemasuka. He rarely become the main role though.
Katori Shingo is blessed with many good dramas, and glad to see you Eun Kyung again in a Jdrama. But the best thing is it has Hiroya Shimizu while dealing with socmed and cyberbullying.
if you realize, most jdramas ratings are under 8 despite having good plots. I've even seen better Jdramas than…
I don't know much about this genre btw since I'm more into slice of life dramas, but If you like this one, I think you may enjoy Marry Me!, Remolove or Love Lasts Forever. All of them are from 2020
