Came here from Perfect Match. I'm so impressed with Lu Yu Xiao's performance. To play an autistic girl so naturally, what a spectacular performance, so underrated. Her character is so sweet. Her acting here reminds me of the extraordinary attorney Woo.
this drama is incredible well paced. this is very rare especially for a 40 episode historical romance drama evolving around the royal court add to that a very fresh take of a story of women relying on themselves to make a living while struggling and a very mature couple with a great love story
with 40 episodes i was really expecting some drawbacks but the drama is written way too well. the cast were absolutely amazing and the romance top tier. commuincation is the key and it unlocked many, many doors. hua zhi and yanxi supported each other with no hesitation or fear from the very moment they met. no misunderstandings or outsiders influence required. healthiest relationship, period. 9.5/10.

I really enjoyed this drama a lot. The story was very fast paced (perhaps slightly too fast sometimes), which meant it never felt draggy to me. This is unusual for a drama with this many episodes. I often comment that a drama would have been better with less episodes, but not with this drama. The story was quite epic and was well told, although Hua Zhi's ninja-level horse charge of those assassins was a bit much. The cinematography was very good, although some of the CGI was not perfect. The costumes were excellent, and I especially appreciated the gorgeous hairpins and other jewellery the noble women were wearing. Overall, very entertaining with VERY few boring bits, and plenty of inspirational and emotional scenes. 9.5/10
