I think he's my grandpa's favourite young actor...mind you he's nearing 90 yet still watches dramas on television sometimes and the latest one he saw on TV was Silent Tides. Ren Jialun's impact is actually larger than you would think it is bc idk why he never really attracts that much attention internationally nowadays. Not sure why, this man has a face not to be forgotten and a witty, funny personality not to be underestimated. (Has anyone seen his exchange with Yang Di a long time ago on a show...and that one time he said "my mum is my dad's husband" during Love of Nirvana promotion? I was spasming on my bed and almost laughed my head off)
Hou Minghao really needs a well deserved break bro...he's been working back to back acting projects, holding concerts, participating in singing programs and everything, I really wonder how he hasn't collapsed from exhaustion yet. (I'm all for Chang sheng gu and the kiss sceneπ«£) but he needs rest like soon. He's always so energetic for kiwis as well I just feel quite bad for him knowing the stress he probably faces behind the scenes. Know we love you HMH!
Yall Lu Yuxiao is officially confirmed for Ci Tang with Zhang Linghe!!! Ever since the rumours came out I've actually been praying for this to happen and now it hasss...MJTY reunion! Hope filming goes smoothly and for LYX to stay strong amidst the criticism. On Chinese media that some people are still upset about the pairing, as well as the fact that Liang Jie was rumoured to be SFL to the point that they have been putting down LYX to argue for LJ as well as questioning where her resources are coming from, and Star Times' "favouritism". Be aware that LYX is still not as popular within mainland as she is here so can be subject to more malicious online attacks which is just the reality of celebrity life that we unfortunately cannot prevent. Let's just keep the great encouragement here up and do the best we can in supporting our girl in her future career and roles! Hopefully she grows a stronger and larger fanbase within China to match ours here as time passes bc she definitely deserves it!

I don't know why but recently I've come to really like Wei Daxun. He has something that just draws me in, and seeing the trailer for this with Zhao Jinmai I will just be waiting till the end of time for this to air. If it had a novel I would be itching to read it now I really can't wait for this to air
Ah this was my first variety show experience except from hi6 and I must say it probably raised the bar. Off to go watch season 1 now because I haven't had enough of their dynamic and will be watching season 3 next yearrr (hopefully)

I love this drama. I don't think I've enjoyed watching one while airing as much as this one. The new eps are literally the highlights of my day at this point...cannot wait for express to come out
While watching this there were so many times I wanted to just jump into the drama and hack certain people to pieces...(*cough cough* perhaps the whole Yu family with a side of Fu Tingyun's father and that Zuo widow) but I guess this just means it was good. All the characters are so very complex it really gets you engaged into the story. You feel the characters' every emotion, which is good when thinking about the show's narrative quality but not good for your own mental health. For the last few episodes every episode felt like a bomb just dropped which got a me a little...idk like I felt my nerves fraying bingeing the last ten eps. This show was lighter at the start then just slowly managed to crawl its way into a dark hole of suffering, dragging me along with it. I'm not mad though; it's been a while since I've witnessed this much pain and manipulation in a drama. Bingeing this show is not for the weak π P.S. Yu Guodong could've died with more screaming. Writers missed a golden opportunity right there. He bashed his head and boom he's dead? No. Too calm for him, in my opinion. That's the most major flaw in the show

Hate that man with a passion...he honestly gives squirmy worm vibes. Kudos to the actor for portraying him so realistically because sometimes I really just want to squash him underfoot (description might be a bit strange but that's the feeling I get off of him if you know what I mean π)
