I think your perception is valid. The entire relationship so far has seemed to be a forced narrative. I don't even understand how they would have crossed paths in high school, when HN/YC's parents have always been wealthy and JW's were struggling. They would have lived in completely different parts of town. While possible it just seems unlikely.

HN has been clingy while JW has seemed more focused on her mission and not really interested in a relationship right now. It is what is now, but maybe a better and more natural direction would have been showing them growing closer over time as they worked together to take down the parents. Forget all the childhood connection stuff and save the confession until much later.

I don't know why they even began to think anyone would mistake those almost toddlers for newborns. She wouldn't have been able to run a hundred yards with babies that size.

The beauty standards are toxic there for sure. It's not just limited to female celebrities. I believe they still require candidates to submit photos ("lookism") with their resumes for regular job applications. The laws may be changing on this, but you know the bias is still there when a photo is required.

This is such a great point. It's so overdone in K-dramas. They are either telegraphing their intentions out loud to their enemy, or they have the inner monologue going where they swear how bad ass they are about to go, and then either nothing happens for many episodes, or it's followed by them walking into trap after trap.
