I hate watching dramas on YouTube, too many ADs and I have to constantly be on the App to keep watching. Can’t minimise the screen 🤭

The actress playing young Yi Qing’E is superb. Conveys all the right emotions to the audience.

OMG! Episode 12 left me heartbroken and sad. To imagine there are people who lived through this ear of China. Development is definitely a costly effort.

May countries path to growth is filled with very difficult phases that cost many people their lives, unfortunately.

This show will definitely be one of the best shows of 2026. It reminds me of “A lifelong journey”(which I haven’t finished because of lack of where to watch full episodes).

I love this C-drama period for me. 3 actually interesting and captivating dramas (The Lead, Splendid Match, and Zhao Zhao Adventures).

On another note, this is my second Yang Yang's drama. The first was the Immortal Journey, which I enjoyed very much too.

After each episode I want some more. I don't know how I will take the upcoming one episode/day 😭

Adding to what you said, movie stars are often ranked higher than drama/tv stars. They also generally get paid more and considered serious/proper actors. This is also obtainable globally (US, EUROPE, AFRICA etc). This is why most drama stars once they pass idol stage/want to be taken more seriously, start trying to get into movies.

Also, movies have the more famous directors and serious producers.

Just watched the closing out snippet of this show, I was crying with each character they showed crying. The OST is also quite meaningful. Looking forward to going on a ride with this show.

The first 5 episodes were so good, humour, real life issues, and amazing acting.

Wow ! 48 episodes drama! This will definitely have a lot of drama 🤭. Liked Ep.1 though.

Had high hopes, got disappointed. Oh well 😔.

Ep. 18: The scene of ML's confession gave me butterflies in my stomach 🙈. ML's facial expression was intense. Can leave a woman blushing.

Ok, managed to pick this up and got to Ep.13. WTF did the writer do to Zhou Mei’s character. Unbelievable! I’m pissed. This isn’t what I was expecting from her character whom they built to be independent and strong minded. Way to ruin a show.

I rarely watch K-dramas 🤭. Their scheduling is worse, I know! heheh

Arrggghhhhh! C-DRAMAS need to stop this one episode thing in the middle of a drama. WTF! Stick to one schedule already.

Somehow, I can't seem to pick up this drama again. Stopped at Ep.7 and got distracted by other dramas and life while waiting for new episodes and then just didn't care enough to come back to it. Oh well ☹️.

That was very pleasant to watch. You explained it so beautifully as well. The actor conveyed this emotion really good too. Surprisingly, I am enjoying watching him here. Watched him previously in Creation of the Gods.
