For 3/4 of the VV episodes I thought Our Skyy 2 FINALLY got it right and then the twist happened and I remembered that the BL gods have a sick sense of humor. Once everything was revealed all of the logic flew out the window. In what world would a 5 year old never say "I want my mom" or "I want to go home" after days or weeks? They used a little boy as a prop for no damn reason. Jigsaw could have been a puppy and most of the "sweet" parts of the story would have been exactly the same. But using a human person like that was just gross and makes me wonder if there are any parents working at GMMTV. Who thought that script was a good idea? I'm angry at Tup and concerned about Jigsaw's home life if no one came looking for him after all that time!!!!!!!
If he'd actually been the son of either of the main characters, it would have been a very endearing story. BLs with dads are extremely rare and that's really unfortunate. But I guess a gay guy having a biological kid was too far-fetched for a series about traveling between parallel universes!
NVLMG, SIMM, Eclipse and VV had flaws, but none of those series deserve the crappy scripts of these OS2 episodes. If the last 4 parts of this anthology aren't A LOT better, this will be the worst BL "series" GMMTV has ever made.
I understand why people aren't enjoying Sky and Win, but for me the pool side conversation was the best this series has been. It seemed like Miko and Teejay were really comfortable in that scene and it made me hopeful for how their relationship will develop. Everything else in this episode was as bad as usual. I liked Miss Becky and Kim in My Day, but neither are needed in this show. The same is true for Chukchuk. If the story focused more on Fifth/Zeke and Sky/Win and less on everything else, I think it would be much better.
This show is absolutely delightful. I find myself smiling like a fool throughout each episode. I am gonna reread the manga when the series ends 🥰Tane is so precious and both leads are doing an amazing job. I've seen Inukai Atsuhiro in a lot of roles, but this one is my favorite from him.
I remember watching Our Skyy when it originally aired. The episodes weren't perfect but each relationship was at a cross roads and each couple grew during their episode. That's what made it a really special series. But Our Skyy 2 has so far felt like a shameless cash grab, with lots of filler, fluff and little substance. I know some fans are satisfied with kisses and fluff, but not everyone is. NVLMG had a plot, SIMM shouldn't exist and TE had great acting. In 3 weeks I haven't seen anything that added to the original series in a meaningful way and that's disappointing.
The second half of TE episode two was good. It showed again that Khao and First are among the best actors in GMMTV. Those two, Neo and AJ did a great job with a poor script. Overall it felt like a missed opportunity and a waste of great talent. The Eclipse fell apart in the latter episodes because of the script. This could have redeemed the story of that series, but clearly, the writers weren't interested in writing a strong story. I'm looking forward to VV only because I love stories with dads with kids!
Aww bestie that was mean. Louis is a sweet boy who tries his best in every series. He didn't have much to work with in the series and this episode. But I expect Neo and Mark will be great together in Only Friends.
After years of some fans asking for more sex, less evil ex-girlfriends and more random proposals, Run was inspired and decided to give the fans what they'd been begging for. Sadly, the BL gods have just shown those fans why they should be careful what they wish for. I can't understand how this got made or why there were so many episodes. I don't know why a show about parentless kids who were pawned off on anyone who agreed to watch them for 5 minutes, also had the most cringe-worthy hook up scenes I've ever seen in BL. I have sooooooo many questions about pretty much every aspect of the show, the acting, directing, editing and most importantly the script, I need an explanation of how and why! Too bad I'll never get one.
Overall this show filled time on Mondays and had enough "so bad it's good" aspects that I can't hate it. I hope Run writes another BL because his brain is truly fascinating. He had so many ideas that could have led to a decent story, but literally everything went nowhere. I also hope Lee Long gets a better manager and is finally cast in a good series. And I truly wish this had been more like older BLs where the two guys don't get together until the last minutes of the last episode because as time went on their relationship made me increasingly uncomfortable since Tin was infantilized and pretty much dating his father. This show was unique and unforgettable, but I have no idea who the target audience was.
I cant believe they are getting another series as well lmao what did they see in them lol ? I hope there will…
Like the others said, it's all about the money. BL ships are the main money makers for GMMTV. Unless their fans stop shipping them or demand better series for them, this ship isn't going anywhere. But it's sad that no one bothered to get Dunk some acting lessons.
Wow bestie. I didn't watch it yet. I knew it would be bad but not THIS BAD. I'll just watch both episodes tomorrow…
😌😥😌Somehow I finished it, but unfortunately for me, I didn't have alcohol to help me through those LONG AND PAINFUL episodes. It was worse than I expected. We've truly hit rock bottom. The Eclipse episodes have to be AMAZING to erase that from my memory ðŸ˜ðŸ¤®
Judging by 2018 BL standards, Our Skyy had 5 good episodes. Sadly Our Skyy 2 has already had 4 bad episodes. But the 2 SIMM episodes are easily some of the worst BL I've seen. I had forgotten how unlikeable Daonuea was and how bland all of the characters in that series were. This was an unfortunate reminder.
It's shameful that GMMTV decided that this "plot" was worth 2 episodes. This story could have been told in 10 minutes, but was stretched out to 2 painfully long and extremely boring episodes only because Kluen spent nearly every second professing his undying love. Even a fairytale prince has more depth and substance than Kluen. Their superficially problem free relationship has as much realism as astroturf or a couple in a stock photo. This was a complete waste of Joong's talent. And as a BL fan, I'm insulted by whatever writer thought fans would want to see this waste of air time.
I'm going to also echo what many others have said about Dunk's "acting". He was BAD in SIMM, but I gave him a slight pass because it was his first series. A year later, he's gotten MUCH worse. I will never understand why the director allowed him to deliver every line while awkwardly moving his head, but it was distracting and only highlighted how poor his line delivery was throughout every scene. OS2 SIMM needed a script and an acting coach to have a small chance to be entertaining tv. Too bad, it had neither.
I also hope the leads return with something that makes sense. I feel awful for them to be given such a horrendous…
I agree bestie. It's always harder to watch series with solid actors and shitty scripts than with good scripts with bad actors (those can end up being funny) 🤣🤣. But anyway, both actors deserved MUCH BETTER. I'm gonna hope they get something good together soon.
I loved those 3 series, but this one is truly awful. It only gets worse as it goes on.
I finished both series. Neither was good, but this one is more lacking in terms of script writing, directing, pacing, and even acting than Big Dragon. I wouldn't recommend it even to someone who is VERY bored.
This was a missed opportunity in nearly every way. The ending fit perfectly with a series that was filled with nonsensical scenes, unclear character motivations, loud laughably ridiculous action scenes and jarring/off-putting behavior towards women. I like both lead actors and hope they work together again in something that doesn't require them to cry and get beat up in every single episode. This show had all of the intangibles to make a decent series, but it missed the mark completely, IMO. By the end, it all felt pointless. I hope to quickly erase this from my memory.
I could spend an hour writing about all of the ways this series failed. But I don't want to spend more effort writing about this show than the screenwriter did.
This fits perfectly with all the other below average BLs that have come out this year. 2023 is the year that most production companies stopped trying to make series with good scripts/directing/editing/acting. But the first episode is SLIGHTLY better than the early episodes of My Day. It answers the question about what happened to Ace. And it's nice to see familiar faces, even though the nostalgia quickly fades.
It's not the worst rhing I've seen this year and there are many scenes that are unintentionally funny. The 4 leads are fine so I'll stick with it for now.
This is already one of the best BLs of the year. It also feels like it's gonna be the best KBL of the year, which is really amazing because there have already been some very good KBLs this year. I can't wait to see the last 4 episodes.
