I think it's because of the age-gape/seniority AND their personnalities. Don't forget that Gui is a Fourth year student while Solo is a freshman, the formal way of speaking is normal and they're bboth pretty reserved it seems. Not as outgoing as Kao, but i'm sure they'll get closer soon. I personally think their way of flirting while still being respectful and calm is very cute! (but to each their own ofc)
