Btw: Taiichi is sooo cuute. His face is so adorable. I felt like I wanted to adopt him during the whole movie lol

Manami was treated much too kindly, she was as unhinged as Katsumi and yet at the end he was shown as a monster and she just got forgiven (also, Katsumi's life was much harder than hers, with the psycho father he had no chance to be normal)

Exactly. I agree with everything you wrote.

Unfortunately, that's true that Asians try to add romance everywhere but there are dramas without romance eg. Beyond evil, Stranger, Signal, Kingdom etc. All of them are great, mainly because they did not add unecessary romantic plot.

There are women who don't like romance, like me ;)

Exactly, this was exactly what was bothering me, if they did not see each other for years and then met it would be quite ok but the fact that he saw her growing up? And she seemed to be his only girlfriend? It seemed like he was waiting fir her to grow up to date her and that is very weird to me. I eould not even have a problem if they were the same age but he was much older and she admired him luke a big brother figure. Well, just my opinion...
