It is bc very few really know what good relationships are like, so the writer was probably out of ideas OR finally found their true love and didnt have the time for webtoon LMAO

and also - ppl find interest in suffocating sad stories rather in a story of true love - which most find boring ....

Bc S1 and S2 and start of S3 are all like that :) YuMi at the start of season 3 was hitting heavy on this dude, but she wasnt even aware of it, she was pricking him to give her LOTS of attention and getting irritated he wasnt -
esentially SHE DECIDED SHE WAS HERS AND EXPECTED UTMOST KISS AS@ING FROM HIM

and she got used to that "entitled princess" from BaBi and S1 dude in S2 coddling her

Common, look at what is right in front of you. This guy is perfect and everything is going well. There are no red flags like with S1, S2 guys (hot arrogant stud and slimey jump-the-ship even at the very start... )

HJ actor has more skilZ. Although I am finding him entering the edge of his ability.

I think MJ actor is some kind of model or newbie who ventured into acting, bc he really lacks acting skills.
His acting is tiny bit better now but not nearly enough.
He is just too stiff and behaves like 18th century Victorian prude religious obedient robot good boy. I feel like i am watching some old English drama.

Imo it is not the script... For example, MJ's Aunt/Mom is also a very reserved character but ... she makes her role more "alive" and impactful bc she has more skillZ. Somehow under all that composed front, you feel a live warm human underneath

Bon Appetit Your Majesty was a super hit bc the open-minded director let ML actor act as much as he wanted, with enthusiasm and energy. That Director was a genius who saw talent and let it shine.

Unlike the director here who is either a caked old geezer without any creativity OR playing it safe and staying commercial mainstream OR totally out of touch with the drama and the actors OR someone with $$$$ told him to make a cliche trash to sell -

And the audience is guilty bc Ep 1 was all about strong FL and the audience found it boring - bc audience is sexist as usual -

and audience was shallow as usual, finding villagers boring, finding old people boring, wanting young pretty faces as rich characters in a sleek urban setting - basically their own fantasy about themselves -

and the audience LIKED Ep 2, ML as cold and shut down and FL as stupidly dumb loser who keeps making mistakes and ML saves her - the cliche plot of all trash dramas - and it WORKS - Dynamite Kiss, etc are all such dinosaur cliche sexist trash dramas with huge following -

the Director served in ep 2 what he is sure will work and turned ep 2 into a cliche sexist obsolete trash-drama

the FL is an accomplished actress from a top drama Doubt and her performance in ep 1 of this drama is STELLAR. Whoever throws that talent away is a moron to the max

But the AUDIENCE is driving this drama into mediocrity at best
So the audience needs to cajole the director to let this drama go the way of Bon Appettit Your Majesty
ML actor is energetic, dynamic and I suspect he CAN act, FL actress is a masterful actress, and SML i am sure can act. SO IT IS POSSIBLE TO MAKE A GREAT DRAMA

yes that was very strange... bc we think the Mom is the lost daughter of Chairman's wife...
Also, that Mom is abusive, her treatment of the kid was .... horrific, beating her up etc AND STILL IS TO THIS DAY

The actress in FL's mom role did many "good mom" characters in various dailies etc and I am sure she got bored, bc then she did "demented mom", then she did a "corporate villain" and then many "nasty mom" characters. This is roughly speaking.
I think this is the nastiest mom character of hers?

FL's mom here is REALLY NASTY EVIL. Taking FL's money, supporting her male child in such panic, always going for the external prestige, and finally those scenes of beating child FL.. wow that was soooo abusive.

How did FL's dad marry such a bad woman... ??? and stay with her??? FL dad is a spineless "nice" man, he never really "reformed" his wife and has absolutely no influence on her.

FL's brother's wife is another nasty woman and should be divorced asap. I think it is a good chance she is not gonna return the money and will just leave the kid and run away

SFL (that Min Ho has crush on) is fantastic to watch :) Such an interesting complex character and the actress is nailing it 100%. What will she do to keep her Guyeol? MH is pushing her too much to notice that G is gone already for another :) MH looks very cute but he is NOT a good guy .... she is correct to keep refusing him :) I dont even want to think what MH is capable of doing....

JM **says** "sorry BH" but I never felt for even one moment that she really means it. There was some crying in front of JH but that felt too little too shallow. Overall, I am sure that JM never truly loved BH and just kept using him as a servant.
She *is* going to miss him soon when she gets into a mess and nobody is helping her.

i 100% agree with you. JM is so dumb and needed help. and BH used that to come closer to her and enjoy the warmth of her family, but JM never really loved BH and was just using him. Indeed, I vote that BH ditch JM and find a good woman.
If JM is going to come to BH, it has to be after significant suffering and repenting her backstabbing him.
If it turns out like @TooEmotional is predicting based on previous BH's behaviors - BH keeps blindly serving JM no matter what she does - then BH would be a stupid enabler and JM would continue to grow into a bigger and bigger monster

but chairman is also using fakeSR as a pawn in his game. he first let her choose and allowed her to NOT marry JH but then he pushed the marriage onto her. Ok then later she said yes so now they are on the same page. But still, how will Chairman back "SR" out of this marriage?
ALSO, if that old fart knows all kinds of stuff, does he know where realSR is and who JH really is... ???

HY started doing criminal things after she got the Lapdog. He and she made that 2nd baby and he stayed totally loyal to her, so they thought of forging the DNA test and framing Chairman's son... then the baby miscarried and they thought of kidnapping a twin and killing SH etc.

SO RIGHT NOW THE QUESTION IS - WILL BH BE JM's LAPDOG AND JUST TAKE HER BACK AS-IS? in which case, JM will keep growing as a monster

I think the Chairman is a top strategist but he is evil, cruel, rootless, heartless person. I despise him as trash evil of this world, the entitled manipulative kind. And he will be literally heartless, he is gonna die soon.

I think the fight in JH's family is totally unhealthy and a sign that the whole family never existed in the first place. It is astonishing how for 30 yrs JH lived in that family without any real love for them, all isolated and all for himself. NOTHING can fix the fact that JH just grabbed JM from BH and could care less, and that he could care less for what Professor did to his wife and how she feels.
JH's heart is a piece of ice - while he longs for someone who is "his" who will be there by his side and maybe love him.
JH DOES NOT BELIEVE IN LOVE.

He was letting fakeSR choose whom to marry - and then just pushed her into marriage although she was saying no. Now she is saying yes, but still, ...
Chariman is forcing marriage, using fakeSR as a pawn in his game of PROTECTING DREAM STOCK. He is marrying fakeSR off to JH bc that will keep his enemies close and will keep the Professor silent - and marrying for love to a commoner JH, the fairy tale story, will even increase Dream Stock

and - she could have continued with the romance IF SHE REALLY CARED FOR BH - they could have made a pact, a plan, and stuck to it, two of them working together would have been better

BH always crawling to appease JM slowed down and dragged the drama, but at least JM was an honest character -
and now - JM became a nasty selfish villain and BH cannot possibly be crawling for her anymore or else he is just a Lapdog just like HY's has her Lapdog.

IF BH KEEPS SERVING JM UNCONDITIONALLY, HE IS JUST ENABLING JM TO BECOME BIGGER AND BIGGER MONSTER

HY never killed anyone but as soon as she got her Lapdog, she got into forging DNA test and then into kidnapping and killing

It is proven already that BH is adopted. AND, the "pattern" on Chairman's utensils is the same pattern left on the gold frog left with baby BH at the adoption.

THE ACTORS HERE ARE GREAT BUT MADE TO ACT CRINGE

Ep 1 was even fun.... Ep 2 is MUCH worse :) FL magically turns into a loser moron and ML is 100% poker faced

There are rom coms with great acting and plots but YES they are not the norm :) Rom Coms seem to be cheap productions bc it is assumed that rom com audience is stupid and will watch anything :) but there are extremely smart and deep rom coms that are also super funny. Right now it is Filing for Love.

"Doubt" is a top notch drama. If FL actress did well there then she for sure can act and someone is misusing her here.
She was great in ep 1 and then turned into an idiot in ep 2. IT IS SURELY THE FAULT OF DIReCTOR AND SCRIPT WRITER
