Someone wanted a short review. Here it is.
The "core" of the script plot is great and the actors are very capable - and then all that was just thrown out.... Some moron made the capable actors act cringe.
ML is made to act poker-faced, 99% limited in his acting and extremely boring cardboard character;
FL is made into a stupid petty damsel in distress in ep 2 in the village /with ML - but she was confident and smart in ep 1 in the city;
and SML is made into a very ... simple fangirl/idol type character.
And Ep 2 is filmed in a super simplistic and rather choppy way, and nothing is funny.

To save the drama, ML actor has to be allowed to express as much as possible - make him human!, FL has to STILL have those creative, confident, smart qualities she had in ep 1, and SML needs to be more than just a pretty boy.

To me, ep 1 was so enjoyable bc ML had only comedic scenes in the village, FL had amazing professional success scenes, informative personal scenes, and the villagers provided the energetic, warm scenes.
Then it all fell apart in ep 2.... FL came to the village and behaved like a total loser moron - ah so CRINGE,
ML was grumpy poker faced the entire time - ah so ugly and BORING -
and SML was used as a decorative object for most part.
Ep 1 had great scenes and filiming, then Ep 2 was filmed ina very choppy way and there was nothing funny about it. Even chickens flying around was not funny.

FL actress was in Doubt. That is a top notch drama. Whoever just turned off her acting capabilities in this drama and made her act the classic sexist "stupid FL" cringe - is a total and complete moron.

I have never seen ML actor before, but I suspect he too can act, and wants to act and is bored with his forced poker-face-only 1-dimensional role. His only good scene in ep 2 was one super short scene as a gangster, smile from ear to ear.

In summary: this drama has so much potential... and instead, is just throwing great actors to trash. The director is the most at fault, I think, then the script writer.

So I dropped.

"He gotta make sure that his will states that if all the MA bloodline ends up dead- the group will go to charity" WOW THAT IS BRILLIANT, that will solve everything!

Yeah Chairman is super shady... he knew about murder and affair... and is not SELLING SR into that marriage to protect hi stock.... I WONDER IF HE KNOWS ABOUT SR AND JM??? what is the way to rope that old geezer? he is soon gonna be dead from those pills...

I didnt understand - did you mean to say that is the only unacceptable ending for you is JM with JH?

or did you mean to say you WANT JM with JH?
Dont they make a perfect pair, both so selfish and stupid?

I am just worried JM will not get the punishment she deserves - if BH will take her back no questions asked. Then I would be really upset to see TWO very stupid people and JM growing into an even bigger monster.

Remember, HY was just a swindler until she was pushed into a corner with her 2nd secret pregnancy, and then she got into killing.
Can JH follow her path... ?

BH will not harm JM but I also hope he will NEVER take her back - unless she cleans up the mess and pays dearly for it.

To cover up the mess they created with JM's marriage, the drama team is clearly pulling on strings to gaslight us. It is DISGUSTING gaslighting that JM is doing her best and acting as a savior, how good she is, comforting her mother-in-law, making deals to save SR, suffering bc she harmed BH, etc etc etc , and then all these side plots that will save JM... THE DRAMA IS SWINDLING US!!! PORTRAYING JM AS A GOOD FAMILY MEMBER, SACRIFICING HERSELF FOR HER MOM, DAD AND SISTER.. AND HOW MUCH SHE SACRIFICED TO DUMP THE MAN SHE LOVES....

. but nowhere did we see any effort to actually revenge dad, to PROTECT mom and to PROTECT SR..... SR was all alone in that bed in the hospital... Mom was all alone in the apartment... both were easily kidnapped...

and nowhere did we see ANY suffering of JM for BH... she just ocassionally thinks how she messed him up and how it is justified.... !!!!!

JM in ep 92 makes deals with CEO Chae, thinking that CEO Chae will honor the deals. That is super dumb.
But at the same time, Jang Mi is very confidently harassing CEO Chae in very clever ways. etc.

So JM does not really suffer only from low IQ....
JM is also a very MEAN, selfish person. She always acts in easy-way-out approach in her favor, regardless to cost to others

At this point, this is a hate watch to see what else the drama production team can come up to cheat and swindle the audience. It is educational bc we get to see all kinds of ways that a drama tries to manipulate the audience.

MBC is definitely on my crossed-out list. This is 2nd daily in a row that they messed up TOTALLY.

Also, I lost faith in JM/SR actress. She DOES accept to act in trash dramas. I will not automatically sign up for anything she is in.

As someone said, THIS DRAMA IS RIDICULOUS.

It could be even worse if BH is a spineless Lapdog and lets JM escapes her mess and comes back to him without any effort to redeem herself. Then instead of only one trash JM, we would have TWO major morons and 100% ruined drama

I thought so too. I had to check bc some ppl keep writing that Lapdog is JH's dad... Which confuses everyone. SO MAYBE YOU WANT TO POST YOUR POST FOR EVERYONE TO SEE?

Seems like Jun Ho happened before HY knew the Lapdog, since Lapdog had no idea that JH existed.

and I am 99% sure that Lapdog is the dad of the miscarried baby and HY tried to frame Chairman's son for it, to avoid a scandal for having a secret baby out of wedlock with some Nobody while she was a famous actress

Ok everyone, I ddidnt have the time to respond to comments from before, but I finally figured out what is going on.
1. ML actor is forced to only do poker faces, i.e he is used AS IF he were an idol/fashion model who cannot act, and I highly suspect that ML actor is a real deal, real actor who CAN ACT and WANTS TO ACT, wants to express
2. FL actress is given a trash sexist script - Ep 1 and Ep 2 show her as two totally different people .... All her confidence, creativity, strength from ep 1 is gone in ep 2
3. SML actor is misused as a decorative idol-like object to fill the quota of "pretty faces" but he can act and should act something meaningful

4. The drama seems to be trying to go the mainstream ways to make sure it is profitable - bc ppl like idol-types and "cool" subject and pretty faces, Pursuit of Jade and Perfect Crown are proof... both are trash... only pretty pictures...
So ... we can make somethiing better than that, something real, by younger actors. Bc it seems to me that audience on this page is mostly young people who want "your" drama and you want a "fun" and healing and comfort drama - so this is how to make it happen.

REAL ACTORS LOVE TO ACT - to express, to move, to interact, to be creativ in expressing.... So you have to let them. A poker face is reserved for those who cannot act.
THE ML ACTOR HERE IS PROBABLY THE REAL THING. It is very likely that that actor is a new star who can act very well, and is being misdirected to act the poker face silent type like John Wayne or mean grumpy type like Clint Eastwood from Good, Bad and Ugly spaghetti western.

Why are actors forced into poker face acting? Bc 99% of actors who come from idol of fashion modeling background cannot act beyond poker face, and audience loves them anyways bc they re "pretty" and POPULAR.

Idols and fashion models have "pretty face" but most of them have NO ability to act, they just hold that one gloomy serious supposedly mysterious seductive look, or maybe smile in artificial ways, But they are used to still posing and showing no personality.
SO IN DRAMAS AND MOVIES THEY HAVE PERSONALITY OF CARDBOARD bc they simply cannot act. They are also super skinny, had plastic surgery, triangualr faces like aliens, etc etc etc - all for modeling purposes. They are used to sitting on the couch and posing for photoshoots, NOT ACTING, MOVING, EXPRESSING

So ... in this drama, I think you have a ML actor who is expressive. Imo his best scene was in ep 2 when he pretends he is a gangster and SMILES and interacts In his John Wayne/Ugly scenes, he looks bored and is clearly forcing himself to pretend.

Also, FL in eo1 was so confident, creative, strong, etc and then in ep 2 turned into the classic dumb damsel in distress. Ep 1 is a proof that FL actress can act very well and someone is telling her not to. That "loser woman-child" is the classic plot of sexism - so the plot is made by the FL doing stupid things and ML saving her. very very very not creative plot!!!!

I think it is a very high chance that the Director and script writer are at fault and that ML actor is forced to be a poker-face grumpy . FL is made an idiot by th script for sure.

AND SO THERE IS A VERY GREAT CHANCE THAT YOU COULD MAKE THIS DRAMA INTO A HUGE HIT LIKE SAY BON APPETIT MY MAJESTY IF YOU LET THE ML ACTOR EXPRESS HIMSELF MORE AND INTERACT MORE and if FL is made to be more like ep 1.

naybe the premise of the script is to show the contrast when ML DOES start interacting nicely with her, but it will be too little too late. He needs to start expressing NOW. not necessarirly love for her, but SOMETHING. Let him smile at the mashrooms and kids.... Let him look sad when alone.. Let him dance to entertain himself... JUST LET HIM EXPRESS!!!!! SHOW HIM AS A HUMAN BEING.

The ML actor is very handsome for sure but I really suspect that that is not his only plus. i really suspect that actor CAN ACT VERY WELL. I havent seen his other dramas so I have no proof except what I see now. And I am quite accurate :) I have a track record of being accurate :)

Since this SML can act, he better be used more efficiently,

IN SUMMARY: Letting ML express and using SML for more meaningful plots, and showing FL a more realistic woman and more in sync with her ep1 confidence and ability and smarts,
will make the drama REALLY a hit

All the ingredients are there, just cook them well so that the flavor can SHOW

I posted some comment and most people replied in a respectful and thoughtful ways so I decided to give you a gift and share my observations for making this drama very popular. I think it is very very important to pull out new star actors. I thnk ML actor is highly probably that, FL actress definitely, and SML too. You just gotta use them properly :) So convince the director, scropt writer and $$$ people :)

Dramas are made to make money, that is the bottom line, so if you guys are willing to pay to watch something mediocre that you are not totally happy with, that is a valid business model... but I am 10000% sure you could be watching something super fun, if you improve this script and filming. AI can never ever replace real actors. AI can easily replace "just a pretty face" acting and that's where the industry is going, so we need to support good live actors.

but that' the point, idol-types is what the audience wants
Pursuit of jade and such idol-type dramas clearly show that

bc you need another cute looking guy to provide a variety of cute looking guys to look at
and at least one has to be this idol-type look bc that is fashionable and will attract audience who will just LOOK at him

Junk Ho is a total scumbag for pushing fakeSR to marry him although she said "HECK NO - I LOVE BH!" . But at that point JH was NOT going against BH, bc JH thought that fakeSR was realSR, he had no idea that the woman he was chasing was JM... and BH told him he loved JM. .... So... From JH's point of view, JH was not in BH's way at all.... JH was just being pushy to fakeSR.... he did not steal JM from BH...

But AFTER JH knew that fakeSR was JM, HE KNEW THAT BH LOVED THE PERSON THAT HE, JH, WAS PUSHING TO MARRY - AND JH DID NOT CARE. AT THAT POINT, JH WENT STEALING FROM BH.

But then..... JM asked JH to marry her and indicated she wants to dump BH, so in some ways, JH was NOT going against BH anymore if BH had no chance!!!!

But then... , JM CLEARLY BEHAVED IN LOVE WITH BH AND IT WAS 100% VISIBLE.
AT THAT POINT, JH WAS GOING AGAINST JM AND BH. .... at that point, JH is Junk Ho, insecure, immature, evil, egoistical, selfish, grabbing, harming, HY genepool, total criminal.

The the only difference between HY and JH is that he did not kill anyone - but HY did nto kill until she felt like she had to .JH COULD DECIDEE AT ANY MOMENT THAT HE HAS TO KILL SOMEONE TO GET WHAT HE WANTS.

JM baited JH bc she told him to marry her and to show her his love and make her love him; and JM PROMISED TO TRY TO LOVE JH. That is what I called "baiting him". At that point, she gave him hope and BH became irrelevant to a large degree if JM was willingly going to ditch BH. That's what I meant.

But any sane person would just decline JM's offer. What do you mean - love her while she is TRYING to love him back despite her love for BH??? Anyone sane knows that kind of stuff does not work. But Junk Ho is too greedy and too selfish to see that. Yeah, JM baited him with some rotten fake bait and he ate it LOL

JH is such a cruel person, he has lived in his adopted family as a total outsider looking out only for himself for 30 yrs...

Was JH stealing BH's woman? NOT AT FIRST. He was in love with "SR" and he knew that BH was in love with JM. So he was abusive to "SR" only. But then ... he stole JM when JM showed clearly to him that she loves BH.

we discussed WOULD BH MUTATE ROM JM's KNIGHT-IN-SHINING ARMOR INTO JM'S LAPDOG? And why that would happen. And what would happen if that happens LMAO BH is an orphan and needed a loving home and family, so he latched onto JM and never questioned her bc he was afraid of losing her.

So will BH stand up to JM when he finds out JM lied to BH, his brother, and her sister?

She thinks BH will always be a Lapdog by default, and I say I hope he woundnt!!!!! He was always JM's Knight in Shining Armor and it would be a degradation of his character to become JM's LapDog and just serve her by default, no matter how criminal she is. IF that happens, the drama is 1000% trash. As @aerum said, the drama is already trashed bc of Jang Mi

@scarfie made me think. Indeed JH never did anything wrong to JM - except ordering/pushing/forcing her to marry him. But that is not a reason to destroy him, like JM is doing now. She said she will use him, but she is using AND ABUSING him, she is not even polite to him, and she keeps harming him.
Jm also said she will TRY to love him and that he should try to convince to love him, i.e. implied that the love between them would be "real" - but that was a very big and nasty LIE.
JM is intentionally doing everything she can to mke JH SUFFER, in public and private..

Her main agenda is to make JH suffer so that HY would suffer seeing that... But as @Zango said, HY doesnt care for Jun Ho... she is not interested in JH as his mother, but as an investor.

JM telling JH she wlll be "Using him" would mean something like: in public we act a certain image, and behind the scenes we have a business meeting and cooly discuss our strategies.

JM promising to "try to love JH" means that she will be very polite and caring and considerate towards him.

As someone else said, JH is a Michelin Chef and JM's former idol and role model. She is not respecting him even for that. She TOTALLY crossed JH out as a disposable trash, as a cockroach to be stamped upon over and over again until it dies.

She is not even using him as a disposable pawn. Usually ppl who just use disposable pawns are just condescending, think that the pawn is worthless and lowly. But JM shows strong aversion to JH and is using JH as someone she HATES and is driving to destruction.

What JM is doing to JH is: "I am gonna destroy you. I know you love me so I am gonna make you do all kinds of stupid stuff in public and make you suffer in public, and in private, I will treat you with scorn. I WILL MAKE YOU SUFFER TO THE POINT YOU BREAK
and that will make HY suffer - so I will be done with my revenge. "

Wooow JM is a really really dumb, MEAN and immature person.... more than just a woman-child. A very psychotic crazy monster.
OK JM lived on planet SH for 30 years so she lacks some basic life skills, but this is more than that, this is SHEER CRUELTY

As someone else here said, JM is very careful to not mention JH's mother and brother. She uses terms as Lawyer and Professor and never mentions BH or SR. AND SHE KNOWS SR LOVED JH AND WAS READY TO MARRY HIM. SoJM is in this delulu place where she ignores the fact that she is destroying the brother and family of the man whom she "loves" and the love of her sister... Even if JM marries JH as fakeSR and then hand over JH to the realSR, it is too late, she is handing over a beat up sleezebag.. ... not worthy of SR..

And BH thinks he wants JM... !!! This is based on a total lack of communication... and BH being in this delulu land where he cannot See JM as she is.... So imo BH does not really love JM. He is in love with some idealistic fantasy... JM used to be an honest person in need of help and BH was her Knight in Shining Armor. **WILL** BH become JM's Lapdog and serve her regardless of what she does? Like HY' Lapdog serves HY...

@TooEmotional and I had a discussion on this, and I understand now why she never liked BH. yeah he was so simple :) and if he continues being so one-sided, he will destroy the drama.
