It starts so well and almost at the end of ep 7, falls apart and becomes the usual sexist trash, loser immature weak FL and a cold loyal servant ML. Yuck. So stale....
I watched 8-10 to see if it will improve ... but those are terrible too. Yeah she said a few wise and correct things at the end of ep 10 , and some at the end of ep 11, but it is all wasted. She is about the same. he is about the same.
After mid ep 7, all the comedy is gone and only soapy cringe melodrama is left. I have no patience to waste my life watching that. It is suitable for middle school level of maturity. I feel cheated that I wasted time finishing ep 7 and watching to ep 10. I dislike when something wastes my precious life hours. So....
I dropped.

THERE IS NOT MUCH CHARACTER GROWTH, the characters are too similar to what they were at the start. That's the problem. So the overall feeling is shallow, and the same behaviors and plots get stale after watching for a while.

So ep 1-mid 7 are a true rom com, 9.5/10 stars. After that, this is 5 or 6 or maybe 7/10 drama

It is great until towards the end of ep 7 and then it falls apart into the usual "FL loser and cold loyal ML" and becomes unwatchable shallow trash
I am on ep 9 and it is getting stupider and stupider
Maybe it fixes itself later,there are 16 eps

i share your opinion :) the messages of this drama are very western or japanese - it promotes gangsters as "nice people"

btw the funny background music is used in Nice to Not Meet You a very ... flopped rom com from 2026 or 2025.
Esp the "yanpa!" sound (korean word for onion)

I think Nice to Not Meet You tried copying from this drama but failed. It just was not this funny

ML and FL actors just disappeared into oblivion after Marriage Not Dating. She was FL in daily Cinderella game and he essentially stopped in 2024 after some guest/supporting roles. He was the Prime CEO in Honour, 2026 drama. He was great in that role.
SO WHY DID THESE FANTASTIC ACTORS JUST DISAPPEAR???

I think the shift from real kdramas like Marriage Not Dating into this Kwood bs is intentionally planed and orchestrated
and leads to lower birth rates and falling of Korean culture and values

They are probably from the West, where love is endangered. The West is basically a rotting place. Both Europe and USA

Wow this is a masterpiece, a classic, a GEM. Soooo funny. So well acted. So well made - the script, the acting, the camera/production, the styling, the music... Every scene is packed with fun details. UNTIL EP 7 WHEN IT BREAKS DOWN AND FL IS MADE DUMB STUPID IMMATURE MORON AS USUAL IN KDRAMAS... wow why do they always have to ruin it?????

The drama has beautiful bodies - omg tons of super great legs!

SO THIS IS A REAL THING, THIS IS WHY KDRAMAS BECAME FAMOUS - AND WHICH MORON DECIDED TO KILL IT OFF AND MAKE IT MORE LIKE KWOOD - TO MAKE MORE $$$$?

Watching this drama in 2026 when the kdramas are already dying. Actors are soooo skinny and lifeless, destroyed by dieting and plastic surgery, faces so tight to the point of not able to move the muscles, and eyes bulging out,
roles are poker faced and very still and boring. FLs are chaste elementary school kids stupid naive immature weak as if they live in 1800s but these days they are successful at work, MLs are poker faced servants that loyaly save FL non-stop and loved her since age of 3, very little dialogue, almost no meaningful dialogue, 1-dimensional "only good" leads with stupid 1-dimensional "only bad" villains.... etc... Basically THE WORST TRAITS OF OLD KDRAMAS (sexism, whiny FL and robot ML) BUT WITH STARVED TIRED ACTORS IN A SERIES OF STILL SHOTS WITHOUT ANY FUN, AND SCRIPTS THAT TOTALLY FLOP BY THE MIDDLE OF THE DRAMA

This drama has BEAUTIFUL people, The drama is worth watching only for beautiful strong radiant bodies and faces, exuding GOOD HEALTH.
This makes for interesting plots and yes amazing scenes and yeah visual appeal.
FL wears sneakers and runs and sneaks around, there is a lot of physical and slapstick comedy and female characters can participate bc they are physically fit.

FL actress and all female actresses did not have to act at all, just watching them is enough :) omg so many nice legs here! OMG!!!!
Luckily FL is a great actress. I cannot think of any current actress who looks and acts like her. She is truly fantastic.

The script and the acting is fantastic. ML is expressive, FL is strong and independent and openly sexy.

ML actor is a fantastic actor too. Wow he can act! And all the other actors are great as well.

The camera, the filming, how it is put together, the hilarious music...

Yeah FL is not perfect, she has her cringe and insecurities, AND SHE IS SLIGHTLY DUMB .... out of insecurity and blind need to obey others... she just cannot say no or even say she needs to use the restroom... but she is ok! She is a very realistic ordinary woman who suffers from sexism. She is still A LOT better than most other FLs bc she figures things out and SPEAKS UP and is not afraid to take action. So some faults are ok :) it balances out... I did not see the end yet so I will update if need be.

Yeah ep 7 is trash, the soup scenes are terribly dumb
My criticism is her DRINKING TOO MUCH... and not saying "I need to go to restroom".... that was so cringe... (and all those other ppl - adjumas and her suitors - just do not see it - a very stark REALISTIC portrait of sexism in Korea..). ML is not perfect either - he is a selfish slime keeping her by his side - but on the other hand, he keeps saving her and he is already in love and he knows it :) he is ok :) he is a realistic man :)

I LOVE this drama. UNTIL EP 7 :) WHEN IT FALLS APART :) AND FL BECOMES A LOSER AS USUAL. SO UNTIL EP 7.... To me this is a real thing. The modern ones are mostly counterfeit, they are not kdramas but Kwood soaps.

another thing that changed since 2014 - now FL's are fake - ah so chaste like elementary school girls. Marriage Not Dating FL is sexy and open about it. Also, she is not really stupid and clueless. SHe is smart, socially skillful, and overall, a real person. And she wears sneakers and moves around fast. She is lively and athletic, in good shape she is a advertisement for good health/
Also, ML is not there as her slave. He is real too. It is so fun to watch a man who communicates and expresses.
It is so fun to see them communicate and interact and get into all kinds of problems together :) conflicts, etc - and all resolved.

All characters are flawed - and gifted - and their interactions are HILARIOUS. Leads here are not afraid to be comedians.

It was before dieting and poker faced MLs, so ... FL (and other actresses and supporting roles and extras) is so pretty and has such a beautiful body, great legs, even if she didnt act it would not matter :) Luckily she is a very good actress. Her kind is totally extinct today!!!!!
The guys too look normal and energetic, and expressive, it is so refreshing to see!

And - they got nice white teeth, They are all looking just gorgeous! and exude good health and lots of energy and vibrancy.

Oh I saw Miss Oh, I loved it, and Suspicious Partner, that was ok - bc FL was rather too .... well ... not quite smart,.. and actually the villain was interesting when we could actually see him, a super handsome guy
Marriage Not Dating was on my list, I just checked it out - wow it is fun!!!! esp since it is filmed in 2014 so all actors are healthy looking and energetic, they are so LIVELY and so expressive, and they are all super beautiful and RADIANT and the drama is hilarious. It seems to be based on a rowdy sexism bc FL is slooow ........ but so far is fun :)

Another user here who was complaining of the boring love triangle helped me to figure out why the drama is dragging.

The main leads are showed as one-dimensional "only good" and then the villain is shown as one-dimensional "only bad" so it is too simplistic and shallow. PLUS the main villain SML actor is so blah BLAND he lacks acting skills - and he has been on the screen for tooooo long!!!! off already!!!!

What makes this drama lively are the main leads. They are fun. The rest are ... blah. Maybe the villain adjuma is fun to watch, she makes it real, maaaybe HR... but the rest .. are not great at all ....

**** The leads are never shown having flaws, working out their own stuff and character flaws, and helping each other overcome it. **** that is the main thing that makes the drama go blah boring. We need to see them WRESTLE with their own bad stuff. The villain is always internal :) So that makes scenes with ML-FL interacting in fun, meaningful, deep, interesting ways. They need to have conflict scenes, self reflection scenes, improvement scenes, etc.
Also, the leads should also be busy working TOGETHER to solve the case of ghost #1, the dude who fell off the yacht
IN OTHER WORDS, ML-FL should be on the screen the most. I feel we barely got to see them in ep 9/10. Yeah they were touring in Singapore but that was an advertisement, not really acting the drama. And they were lacking in the drama since ... ep ... 7? or so

YES it will be a mystery to be solved. Since they all live together and JN's mother is an alcoholic at this point, I am sure she will blab that she let the boy slam into the car, and that JN had a camera . Then she and JN will get kicked out :) and also JN will start investigating

Yeah masterful rom-coms keep ML-FL on the screen the most, and the villains are great actors and meaningful in the drama and are even the main characters themselves, like in Scarlet Heart Ryeo

A good rom com works out the ugly in the ML and FL while they are pairing up and before they super-glue pair up. They are their own villains, plus some help from the side :)

this drama started so well and then significantly dropped in the second half, ep 9/10 are weak - bc THE MAIN VILLAIN ROLE AND ITS ACTING IS TOO WEAK :)

It is super week to keep the main characters as one-dimensional simple "only good" and then put all the negativity to the villain, who is then one-dimensional simple "only bad" - and then keep the villain on the screen for so long and even use a very weak actor as the villain actor - as all happened in this drama, making it go down fast
