The gae at the end is for 'dog', and the 'bul' part is for 'fire', so it's 'Fire Dog', if that can help you remember.…
THANK YOU!!!
Ah I am glad that I heard it correctly :)

Korean sounds are different than say English sounds, the mouth and throat is used differently, plus there are different pronunciations by different native speakers and different ways of saying the same thing, plus the honorifics versus casual, so it is interesting - and kdramas are a great way to learn Korean, actually

Thanks for explaining it!

Title Reborn Rookie Spoiler
well she didnt know he was her father. All that she sees and knows is a handsome young guy who is super nice and…
I totally misread the post

so this answer is the wrong reply for the post, it is about FOR JUST LOOKS and I will keep it here bc someone might like to read it.

====
Hm I am surprised as to how YOU think :) A person does not have to be good looking to swoon someone. What matters is how charming they are.... how attentive, caring, and persistent in showing their affection... For both men and women...

For example, the infamous Italian or French lover is often not a handsome guy but he charms you off your feet!!!!!! That French dude also is likely to be skinny and have a huge nose but ... he works it so well!!! Also, I have seen Brazilian men chasing women, and I have seen all kinds of Africans courting all kinds of women and omg those dudes are often not handsome but they often have a strong body and they move and they are SUPER EXTRA CHARMING and have a whole bag of tricks, and they get whoever they want.
For example, I was watching a Brazilian dude on the beach in Hawaii, hunting down a very gorgeous Brazilian lady in a bikini. He was asking her to go out eat with him, and to make his point, he was sometimes gently pulling on the bikini ties on her hip. She was visibly flustered. That dude does NOT have to be good looking. He has a strong body and totally knows what he is doing lmao A surfer dude :)

**** Of course, the looks are NOT the only thing, the personality is what really matters... Otherwise, most people on this planet would not find a mate lmao

I was once in an airbnb with a drop dead gorgeous Turkish guy and a very ugly African guy but the Turkish guy had personality of cardboard and nobody ever noticed him, and the African guy was omg wheeler and dealer, an experienced charmer, he was snagging women left and right, he had a girlfriend and on top of it, every week at least 1 new one... The women were lining up for him... he had his pick....
=============

The guys I mentioned above were not honest and still the women fell for them.
NOW IMAGINE THE CHARMING GUY WHO IS HONESTLY DEDICATED - who is gonna resist him????

that is why I said - handsome young guy who cares for her and gives her lots of attention and is super smart and capable and totally dedicated to her.

Which woman or man would not be flustered by a guy like that?

It is like someone is giving you a gift of themselves for you to use, and of course you would fall off your feet. Anyone would.
And in this case, this young lady is seeing a very good looking healthy young male and of course she is gonna start thinking - woow this is gooooood.....

I think there is other stuff to compensate for lack of romance. Romance was never the strong point.
I just came back to write about that.

Hm maybe she never will? if they secretly swap bodies again... ? but then the real young dude will have NO CLUE about business lmao nor memories of his business dealings while with her... Maybe - the body swap will happen after some event that makes him justify his lack of business savy by amnesia?

Yeah seems like the daughter is gonna be confused and/or embarassed no matter what scenario plays out - telling her the truth, or a secret body swap again

every good father is proud of his pretty daughter - he thinks to himself - I MADE THIS BEAUTIFUL PIECE OF ART
Definitely. Freud started it and Karl Jung officiated that and it is commonly known is modern psychology

and you can see it in real life - children first behave as their parent of the same gender and first fall in love/date/marry someone who resembles their parent of opposite gender - and only when a child matures, there is more authenticity

she doesnt know it is her father!!! She sees a young handsome stranger and her falling for him is totally understandable…
Well my point was not to critize the writer for putting it in...
Ok if you think that it should not have been in.

BUT look realistically, it is TOTALLY UNAVOIDABLE, there is this super handsome and caring guy who really cares for you and winks at you - which woman would not be flustered???

Boom Shakalaka!!!! lmao do you know, I actually am familiar with that, and it is incredibly funny, and I dont…
Chloe has been an honest exploitative slave driver jerk lmao to tell the guy who is in love with her that she will marry him and just use him, and even promised that she will try to love him, BUT THEN she dissed him all the time and every time he is so hurt, and she doesnt care. She keeps whipping him to do her revenge

ok if you think the 50s Professionals prosecutor speech does not count.... I was presenting it as an EXAMPLE OF HOW TO SAY THINGS regardless if you are professional or not, and in fact it is GOOD to learn from professionals how to do it, but if you are going to ignore any example and any good instruction, your choice

N Korea is still in Asia and is Korean

I dont have time to discuss this anymore. Bye.

Wow... I am so sad to hear that. What a waste of drama that started so well.

HOW THE HECK DID KBS MANAGE TO KILL SUCH A GOOD DRAMA THAT STARTED SO WELL????? ML-FL breaking up and staying broken up bc of some dinosaurs is just dumb!!!!! This drama started so well and then the writer and KBS team let it fizzle out and die.

If this is a FAMILY drama then I dont want to be watching 2 hateful families at war for weeks and weeks and weeks. I expect the drama to be making progress to creating functional loving families.

hello!!!! this drama started as a great masterpiece and from the middle on, ended up in the trash.

THIS IS A WASTE OF TALENT
and whoever it is at KBS that approves/demands this, is a moron

EDITED LATER: After thinking about it, perhaps 15 episodes is necessary to work out that bs about honoring the wicked orders of your parents, which seems to be like a staple Asian trope and seems like a severe flaw in their culture - kids are like pieces of furniture, like PIONS that parents own and move around like they wish.

OK then so maybe they need that time to work it out and that the kids finally get to their senses and say - wth what my parents and grandparents are doing and ordering me to do is dumb, I aint doing it.

BUT I DONT SEE THEY EVEN STARTED FIXING THE ISSUES. The drama plot is obtained by DRAGGING those issues.
Start overcoming it already, for goodness sakes!

OK if they need that time to work out such a DEEP societal flaw, so be it, but they better work it out asap, bc it has been so many weeks already.

Let them work out their cultural glitches
BUT HURRY UP ALREADY DONT DRAG IT FOREVER!!!! the drama should have started making some moves to resolve those issues. but it is dragging

PS - The USA has the exact societal flaw but diametrically opposite - parents do NOT care one bit for their kids lmao Parents give the kids a cell phone and video games to keep them busy, and just FORGET ABOUT THE KIDS

indeed. and there is a trend, Teach You a Lesson is also that. you cant blame them, since S Korea has the lowest…
Gay men used to stay hidden and fake being straight, marry, etc,
and now they are allowed to be open about their preferences, so it seems like there are lots more of them.
And many straight guys might decide to switch too.

Clearly there is a huge market for gay dramas since current offerings of kdramas have at least 2 gay dramas every week

Thank you, that really helps!!!! BIG THANK YOU!!!!

Oh I see now, Korean "g" kinda sounds like something in between western "k" and "g" bc I hear the word meat aka gogi a LOT in kdramas and it sounded like "kogi" to me but not quite

ps - before I read this, I thought that another similar word is "algae" but it doesnt help bc it somehow didnt fit
ah my intuitive Korean is working lmao

PLEASE ANSWER: are ML-FL still broken up? I am getting that idea from reading the comments...

hello again, my mother was hospitalized so I was off the grid for a while..
The last I watched, ML/FL broke up and he was going back to Argentina bc mama girl would not leave her mom, and her mom HATED ML's family

If they are STILL broken up.... Hm... do I want to watch that kind of bs lmao Probably not. Most likely will drop out

We need more domestic and touchy relationships in kdramas. Anyone have recommends for those type of dramas? I…
Domestic -? meaning living together? Touchy - meaning... ? emotonally touching, or physically intimate?
I will answer assuming living nearby or together and having some physical moments and deep emotionally touching moments

First of all, kdramas by default do NOT dwelve into sexual scenes. There is not enough time to waste on porn and voyering when there is so much good stories to be told. And rest assured, the characters know what to do when nobody is looking. So, no TMI. Kdramas focus on CONTENT.

So haviing said that, these are good deep romances

Positively Yours aired earlier in 2026 one of my favs, about marriage
Recipe for Love is a nice family drama, so it has romance but the touchy feely parts are off the screen even more than usual bc it is a family drama :)
Our Universe was supposed to be but isnt... well watch the uncle and the baby
Spring Fever has some
Second Shot at Love, Motel California, ... got some

there are TONS of earlier kdramas with what you are looking for. Just recently I watched High Kick season 3 it was hilarious

I got romance list in my feed. incl family dramas

THE PROBLEM IS DARN AUDIENCE!!!! SO MANY COMMENTS THAT THEY DO NOT WANT TO WATCH ROMANCE!!!!!

Boom Shakalaka!!!! lmao do you know, I actually am familiar with that, and it is incredibly funny, and I dont…
i understand Chloe's reasoning and I think it is fake and dumb and majorly GREEDY and SELFISH, you forgot that she made that choice bc revenge was #1
It was the dumb choice to benefit HERSELF

just like MJ's mother "protecting" him by not telling him about YN and Chloe, so he dated YN and missed the time to persuade Chloe not to get married

and I debunked Chloe's reasoning - IF MJ is a Chairman, OR if current Chairman kicks JR out to jail, then .... the danger is much reduced.... and Chloe and MJ get to marry out of love

I am not sure if you are Asian or even Korean, but you seem to really like those acts "in sacrifice for another" which are NOT sacrifice at all!!!! they are just selfish lies for convenience of the liar, and throwing the person lied to under the bus. MJ explained it in the last episode so well

In this day and age, a good relationship requires HONESTY, the truth told kindly and gently

A good example is Prosecutor lady from Fifties Professionals, how she told Bulgae that he was a N Korean spy. First she asked him if he wants to know, if he wants her to find out, and then she told him the truth.
