Finally finished it but had to skim a lot. The female lead is amazing and the family dynamics are entertaining after the character development (the first ten episodes are absolutely annoying though). This is one of the few times when I felt that the romance was unnecessary. I couldn't bring myself to like the ML. Plus, the actor playing him has only two expressions. In fact, I preferred the SML by far. Overall, still a decent watch

There's no rebirth plot. They removed it already which I'm happy about because all these rebirth plots are getting repetitive. Seems like they borrowed things from both the first and second life to form a coherent storyline which means there's room for a lot of organic character development

So apparently the ML is a widower. Did he ever love his wife then? Also how's his personality in the novel and the dynamics between him and Jin Chao seeing as how the novel readers prefer the SML

I mean yeah, she's a brat but atleast she isn't a pushover. The parents don't deserve any sympathy for treating her like the way they did. It's not like she's screwing over random people

Well the removal of the reincarnation trope ensures that this won't happen. I also like that they changed the story. It makes it more refreshing.

The dynamics among the FML and the MLs here seems like watered down SOKP. Also, will her feelings towards CXQ remain one sided?

I regret starting it too soon because it's so good and I can't wait for more episodes. The FML is so loveable. I love Ren Min. She's perfect for this role.

What's wrong with being cliché? As long as it's done well. We haven't gotten a good youth romance drama in a long while

Peng Xiao Ran is such a good actress. She totally carried the show. The ML's acting was not convincing at all especially in the emotional scenes. I didn't find him attractive either.
