The novel was just freaking hilarious and romantic. The drama had it also. But of course, nothing beats the original.

Haha.. yeah.. In the novel, they were more savage. Even FMY during their relationship. Both are awkward and hilarious. They were pretty straightforward/direct in their relationship but still, somehow, because of their personalities, though they love each other, their moments were like the edits in the drama, choppy. And not choppy bad.. it was the opposite because of FMY's way of expressing his feelings, like a robot, direct and unfiltered, though he lacked some gestures because of his too busy schedule. And RSX didn't have it easy either, though in the drama it was shown differently. In the novel they aren't that unbalanced.

Even thinking about their relationship dynamics makes me laugh.

But then, at least they had shown several kisses in the drama... As for the novel, there were lots of kisses too and they had 'it' a couple of times even before marriage.
Even doing 'that' part was hilarious and they sometimes discuss it openly. FMY is sure shameless. 🀣

Here comes the biggest shitshow of this drama. The one thing that I loved about the novel was how the relation…
Yeah... It's just so sad that novel adaptations could never be good just like the novels. They were literally tampering down the novel's greatness.

The drama is great as they followed the character dynamics from the source, but still... I believe if they included one big scene from the novel where RSX volunteered to pilot a rescue flight just to go and make sure FMY is safe from the disaster abroad, it would have been one of her grand moments to prove that she truly cares for him. It was also for her realization of how deep her feelings are for him. This also happened before they got married.
I was really waiting for this part... but nah...
Still.. the drama is already good on its own. 😁
The FL is somewhat refreshing for not taking up any shit from anyone. And sadly, even from her boyfriend. Poor FMY. Though they lacked some balance factors in their relationship in the drama, at least in the novel, i know that RSX loved and cared for him too. And FMY isn't that perfect in the original, even during their relationship, unlike what the drama had shown. So i get it that people still find it unfair and so unbalanced.
I believe, the drama just didn't show enough how they understood and interacted on a deeper level, despite their bickering.
Overall. It's a decent enough adaptation. Love the casts.

Still doesn’t ad up. FL came back three years after meeting ML (ep 2). 5th anniversary is seen in ep 19. FL…
In the grocery store, their clothes changed. I guess that's the indication that time passed by because of the season change.

For that 5th anniversary...
I think Ming Yu just expressed romantically that it was unforgettable for him when he won her heart, but he still counted the moment they first interacted as that being the very beginning of their journey. Even with the worst first impressions.

I believe it's the editing. It's quite choppy at some scenes. And they trust the audience too much to solve things on their own. πŸ˜…
I think i just got a little advantage that i had read the novel before. But it was a long time ago, so i forgot some details already.
And since i had read it, i've been following this drama because the novel is romantically good, funny and sooooo sweet.

Here's my take for that 5th anniversary.
I think FMY was celebrating it for it's been five years since they first met. When they had interacted for the first time when she was still a flight attendant. He treasured it because it was how he met RSX, though it was a very rocky start. Worst first impressions with one another.
Though he wasn't able to remember her directly after 3 years, after clearing all misunderstandings and starting to know each other, they had treasured every little interaction, especially FMY, since it's obvious that he was more expressive in everything in their relationship.
Then Lu Ming died. RSX and FMY started officially dating.
Time passed. So it was then mentioned that it was already 2 years since he died.
Then that's 5 years in total.

I really hope they would include this in the drama...

Fu Ming Yu was in another country, and then an earthquake occurred. (I couldn't remember the exact details but maybe it was that no pilot was available or they were hesitant to go to that country because of its emergency situation.) But Ruan Si Xian volunteered and piloted a rescue flight into the disaster zone and found Fu Ming Yu there. She then said that she was there to take him home. And he said that she landed on his heart.
😍 This is one of the biggest moments in their relationship because right then, FMY realized better that RSX truly cared deeply for him just as he cared for her.

Wait, did I miss something? They were celebrating their 5th Anniversary but then in ep 20 they mentioned it's…
It's when they first meet/interact with one another directly when she was still a flight attendant.

Bu Shu Lin (Blossoms of Power) is saying "Hi" to this waste of gender-bending.
Haha... Fan Shuia Qi as FL in this would have been perfect in all angles then.
Zhou Ye is great and all. She captures the emotion and has her own grit, but still... She's just never convincing to be a cross-dresser. Well, she's just not built for it. So other characters were written to be blind about it also.
But aside from that, this is such a wonderful drama.

do they break up at some point? if they do, what's the reason?
From the released episodes in the drama, there wasn't.
Hope it's like in the novel, where there was no break-up and they remain a solid couple through the end.
So far, they were following the leads' relationship dynamic in the novel.

@Wendy52 in trailer there is a scene which seems like a breakup where she leaves him while crying is there a breakup…
That's why i love the novel so much. Their relationship remains solid, though there were external obstacles sometimes, but mostly they were just their work schedules and rumors.

FL got the wrong idea that her mom was dating someone when their parents were about to divorce. But that guy wasn't…
Hello. As long as i can remember, they never broke up in the novel. I guess the scene where FL was crying in the intro or outro was because of her mom. There was a part like that in the novel.
