I watched up to episode 8, couldn’t find episode 9, and then skipped ahead.

It was so noticeable that toward the end, I actually found it hard to watch them together. In my personal opinion, there is no chemistry at all.

She also looks far too young and frail. Even though the actress is actually older in real life, which really surprised me, she looks like a teen with those bangs, and her exaggerated, grotesquely childish behavior makes it even worse. He, on the other hand, is extremely serious — almost too serious for a 22-year-old. The behavior of both characters felt unnatural to me, not like real people at all.

The direction felt forced, as if they had to remove the romantic element from the beginning of the relationship because of cultural constraints related to the characters’ age gap. 15 years ago, this kind of script would probably have been much more unrestrained.

The girl never changes her bangs, and as a teenager her hair looks dry and straw-like, which is very strange, because even in 1998 people already had a strong sense of aesthetics.

The behavior felt forced and unnatural . At the beginning, I even suspected this might be a lesbian-themed story because there was a hint of that

In my reviews, I wrote more about the problems with the direction, which may or may not have been present in the script itself. I have no idea. But the series does not give the feeling of traveling back in time. This is especially noticeable after having watched many, many shows from those eras, It does not look similar and does not create that atmosphere.

I'm ready for episode 2...
I'm so ready too! But It looks like it’ll only be in another two weeks. I hope I’m wrong.

Yesterday the rating was a 9, and suddenly it dropped to an 8. That's bizarre. It's a solid 9-level series.

Title Fake Fact Lips Spoiler
I think it may have been because the translation was wrong. I haven’t read the second part of the manga... maybe…
I checked the translation and it's correct. It seems that, as you said, Zen felt that if his partner wasn't sharing what was going on with him, then he didn't really need him.
On the other hand, it's a bit strange because Zen doesn't really share much when he's frustrated either.

IQIYI says there’s 10 eps. is it really just 9?
Right, there’s another episode. I checked earlier and didn’t see it, but now I can see that it will air next week.

they finally gave that boy some much needed reassurance, he was going through it
I think it may have been because the translation was wrong. I haven’t read the second part of the manga... maybe it’s clearer in the manga.

Both actors did such a wonderful job, and Sato really seemed to undergo a true transformation in his acting abilities. You could really see him getting deeper into the role and the character from episode to episode. He’s so beautiful

What a beautiful final episode. It’s so depressing that there won’t be any more episodes. I love them so much. It was amazing.

With every episode that goes by, I love Sato more and more…
I don’t want it to end. It’s so depressing that this will be the last episode.

Iku is just the best <3 I hope to see this actor more often!
Please do not watch on websites that are not the translator's blog-𝗡𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻, because it's really not right thing to do

Everyone is complaining about the sitar bg music. I also think it feels out of place. I love Indian music, but I don’t think it fits here, and it really surprised me because Japanese productions usually love using Japanese music in their series and are careful about that.

But I thought maybe because there has been a very large Pakistani immigration there since COVID, it might have started influencing them...

I’m enjoying this more than the comments over here but 8 for rating this definitely deserves more!!!! there…
I Like Sato a lot , he plays a completely different character. It took me a while to get used to it, but he acts beautifully.
