i agree with everything you said. KTL and this drama (and the entire 2026 cbl rain we're getting) are pioneers, they can't compare with mainstream big productions, they don't have the budget and face tons of difficulties (not last the fact the these actors will be banned for the foreseeable future from acting in mainland China). everything considered the level is good as it is. we all should remember that we started with Meet you at the Blossom, not with, i don't know, the Double, and if we consider this we see how much the level's improved over just few years

just started this, i'm on episode 7 and i'm loving it. don't skip the opening credits, they're different every time with different styles and sometimes they're parodies, what a great idea

same story, but princess Weiyoung took too many liberties and it was tropey and soap opera like (which are not flaws ahaha i love a good soap). this one is going to be historically accurate (as per C ent rules)

happy to hear this. Edward gets type casted too much, he's an excelent villain, but i'd like to see him as the good guy more often (i only saw him playing a good guy in two dramas)

they implemented a rule that limited the max number of episodes to 40, they could still be reduced due to censorship cuts. some others were meant to be no longer than, i don't know, 36. now the rule has been lifted so the drama can have any number of episodes
