Yes is a sad ending depending on how you see it, ml died at the end. But for me is a happy ending since ML "character Arc" is not likeable But don't worry, with 2ML, you won't feel lonely. Overall, is a happy ending for me.

I'm not understanding whether some people are hating on actors directly or they are hating on their "Character Arcs" in dramas
Regardless of what, if they are hating on "Character Arcs" then is still understandable if the hates remains in the dramas fandom.
