Didn't China ban rebirth/reincarnation dramas or something? Wasn't it the reason why One and Only & Forever and…
It's a rebirth and they'll get around it by other rebirth-type dramas, hand wave it all away in 5 seconds with "It was a dream!" One and Only and Forever and Ever were aired "separately" to get around the 40-episode limit but they were aired back to back-like all the other over-40 episodes dramas with a "part 1 and part 2."

I doubt Xie Wei will be anywhere near as dark as in the novel and also some of the characters and plot plots as morally grey, including Xue Ning. I haven't seen a true-to-the source dark main character in a long while, probably due to rules banning immoral leads. They're either completely whitewashed or somewhat whitewashed but always misunderstood (ex. LBFAD, Romance of Twin Flower, Untamed, Princess Agents etc.) Even Goodbye My Princess who is still a huge jerk was made to be way more sympathetic and less ruthless than the novel.

I'm reading the novel and now I'm not so sure it stopped airing because it's a BL. This is full of corruption,…
I've always the thought from the beginning the BL part of the novel is a minor concern considering all the other banned topics the crime stories are about and that they would have to make big changes to the cases themselves. Well instead they got around it by trying to pass it off as some sci-fi future world with zero effort into making the setting look like it and even the script is lacking in that area. Maybe someone took a closer look and decided they weren't buying that bridge.

From what i catch, he was someone who dont understand whats this love everyone talking about. He didnt understand…
That makes sense. I know in Ep. 4? he said something about testing a hypothesis about him loving Kaori but I didn't think it went back to their first meeting/deal. Their dynamic is interesting in that he's so cerebral and Kaori runs on her emotions. Wish there were better subs.

I think it's the bad (machine) subs but I don't get Kyosuke's motivation? Or is it revealed later on? He seems like the stereotypical cold intellect who lives by reason so not sure why he'd ask Kaori to sleep with him. Love/lust at first sight seems farfetched for his personality.

The focus on Fumiya can't communicate and it's all his fault is bugging me. The fight in the past shows that it's only half the story. The other half is Ritsu can't listen or doesn't want to listen. He should've picked up on Fumiya telling him straight up he was feeling lonely for gawd sakes and taken pause. And Fumiya said it while not being mad.

Maybe it's because the actor who plays Fumiya conveys emotions so well that I'm just like, how the hell can Ritsu not see when Fumiya is upset just from his face and body language when it's so obvious? I felt incredibly sad for Fumiya when he said he couldn't be open about his feelings because he was scared their relationship would crumble if he was was. He needs therapy to figure out why he wants to hold onto a relationship where he feels that way! Because Ritsu is so uncompromising that I think they just scream "irreconcilable differences" and "love isn't enough" at this point.

The story also muddied up the waters with the lying to an amnesiac plot point. I don't think the ending should just be a question of whether Ritsu can forgive Fumiya for them to get a "happy ending."

The drama managed to take one of the most common relationship problems-where one side takes the other for granted and the other side sure as heck feels taken for granted, add in a soapy trope of amnesia, and somehow made a pretty compelling story.

I do hope Ritsu's side gets addressed. Fumiya has trouble communicating but Ritsu doesn't seem to be the greatest listener and totally oblivious. Maybe it's a communicating thing too. There's definitely more to the story than just the newness of the relationship wearing off/honeymoon phase being over for Ritsu to come off as inconsiderate. Pressures of work? Might want to let his partner know...

Title Dear Liar
I was initially convinced that they were making Qin Li so obviously shady that it had to be a red herring and the so-called twist is that he's a good guy. Or he's out for revenge. But he's obviously gaslighting his wife and I don't think there's a way to explain that away unless her psychotic breaks are real. I do hope there is more to the story just because having to sit through 27 episodes of trying to bring down an abusive gaslighting husband is a chore.

Title The Glory Part 2 Spoiler
Most random scene award goes to Do Young’s mom going nuts on Yeon Jin. His momma be crazy too. The impact on Ye-Sol is uncomfortably sad because you can imagine her, just a 7 (?) year old kid, getting bullied as a result of her mom’s notoriety for bullying. There’s a bigger social aspect to this that the show obviously didn’t want to touch by keeping the focus so personal.

Have to process the revenge a bit more. Yes, all the bullies got their deserved ending but how we got there- the process-was unsatisfying. Dong Eun all ready to commit suicide and her reason to not go through with it didn’t sit well either.

The scene in the trailer where Dong Eun is frantically searching through her photos on the ground is new right? Makes me think that she missed something big in her spying. My guess is that the bullies will get their deserved punishment but some small part of the revenge will rebound on Dong Eun so that she loses something in the process. Not her life cause I think she'll be left standing. She doesn't have anything she values now but I think she'll find out that she cared more for her 2 sidekicks than she thought.

I just hope it won't head towards makjang territory, like Yeon Jin is her half-sister or something. Or Dong Eun's dad is the serial killer torturing her sidekick doctor. I mean they both have a habit of writing letters...

I knew I should have held off on watching this until all the episodes aired. Oh well, at least there's the book with a great translation that's accessible. Definitely worth reading if you like the first episodes.

I have a doubt regarding the novel. I've read it but I've forgotten and am a little confused. Could someone please…
He gives himself electric shocks as a means of aversion therapy. The scars are from the electric shocks and also why he is repulsed by blood. He's scared he'll become a killer and so uses aversion therapy to make him be repulsed by anything that can be associated with killing, like blood.

ZXC is doing great as PS so far and his look is pretty on point to the novel. Be curious to see if he can pull it off the rest of the way as we peel back more and more of PS' layers. It's a wild ride. Not feeling FXB as the other lead yet but admittedly his character is lot less complicated. Maybe it's a lack of screen presence?

I love this episode for many reasons. First, those glances, smiles and stares literally is chef's kiss. I notice…
It's a scar that's covered up by a tattoo. In the book he uses electric shock on himself as a form of aversion therapy. The reason for why he does that to himself is a pretty big spoiler so not sure you want all the details beyond that.

Ji Sung is so charismatic in this role. The story itself is uneven but watching Yo Han's antics is pretty entertaining on its own. Seems like one of those "bit off more than they can chew" deal.

JCW is a gem. I like the balance between humor and drama with his character. I can buy the message of the main story-finding yourself is important but the way the FL went about it is really horrible -by trampling on other people and at their expense. She also doesn't seem to be sorry about it, as if it's her god-given right to "find herself" and if someone gets screwed over for it to happen? Sucks to be them. Yeesh. Also her being so embarrassed about a past mistake that she's willing to give up a relationship is total nonsense. It's like if your hairstylist accidentally cut your hair too short by 1cm and your reaction/solution to that is to shave your entire head and become a vegan.

They should've stuck to a cheesy romance drama instead of trying to add in the thriller/mystery angle because plot holes galore. Definitely lost a couple of brain cells with all the nonsense and illogical plot points. They wrote a ML who had such swagger be so stupid. For a character that's set up like some ruthless lite-007 Bond, his plan (and the story) had about 1000 holes in it. Kudos to the actor to pulling off the character despite the crappy writing. Hope he doesn't have a hunch back after this from all that weight of the show he has to carry.

Fr at first I thought Lee Dohyuns charter was useless but now with the ending of season 1 we see he has something…
Same. Introducing and keeping him mostly as "love interest" for the better part of S1 is a disservice to his character and the story. They could've just written him like Hyun Nam right from the beginning- as partners-in-crime because he's got his own issues to deal with.
