With so many historical dramas that came out recently that were just meh (after my high expectations for them), I was afraid to start this drama. It is a pleasant surprise that this one meets & maybe exceeds my expectations. Really looking forward to part 2.
It's interesting that Do Young wouldn't let the Jeon brothers switch (aka choose their fate) but when it came down to the last 2 strings; him & new dad, Yeong Woo he said "not that one" directing him to pick the longer string and Yeong Woo had to remind him of the no switching strings rule (aka choosing your fate).
Really enjoyed this list. It forced me to try & remember all their endings (which at my age is a real exercise)
It would be interesting to list the reasons why a drama is considered to have the worst ending ever by each voter (since there are many good reasons) / total how many votes each drama gets & add to your description section. It could almost be turned into a game - watch the dramas on this list & match them up to the correct worst ending reason.
I would add: The last Empress (All I have to say... ML2... sorry... Zombie Detective doesn't fix it) Parfait Tic (I still feel the frustration from this one's ending) She Was Pretty (ML vs ML2 choice) ? Hotel De Luna (An unfulfilled sequel hint ending)
When pleading for Woo Joo's life FL says to Grim Reaper to tell the boss "Tell him I know what you did." What did the father of the truck driver do? (Reaper dad was in the car w/ his son @ the time of the accident, what did that mean?)
Why can't FL forgive the driver who caused her death or is the fire station donation at the end to show she has? (her angry attitude / spitefulness towards apologetic driver caught me by surprise/seemed out of her character)
Go Soo's acting & his long-haired look appealed to me even more in season 2 plus the stories plus the characters plus etc, etc,. This better not be like Hotel Del Luna ..... with a big-name actor teasing us with a sequel .....& then the waiting abyss.
Pleasantly surprised. Thought this was going to be another dark revenge story just based on the info that FL was infiltrating suspects house as a housekeeper. This mild thriller's charm came from the romance, suspense, plot twists, acting, & story length (not too long or short) which made it enjoyable.
Yup!
