She herself, Jing, XL and Xuan know she's willing to 'look the other way' unless it's IMPOSSIBLE to ignore. With Xuan she could ignore anything indefinitely , but no longer as he's assassinated Jing.

XL is a current General, the old man who saved him was a direct General to the 'King' of Monsters/Demons/ THE General aka XY's biological father.
Xiao yao's dad was already dead before XL was saved from the fighting pits, by his foster father, General of Chenrong - the old man at the camp.
This is why her parents were destined to fight to the death, they were Generals of opposite factions.
