Title The Double Spoiler
Typical C-drama with a sad ending and then they add a bonus happy ending without any explanation of how the ML…
He didn't. He did die that day, but that day was at least 8 years in to the future, they had a happy married life.
End of ep 40 is her dying after having lived a long life - notice the age and size of the flowering tree.
His spirit is rushing with the wind on that horse to greet hers.

He does die in that battle.
The scene of her in a red dress running out the outside and up the hill to their tree - the tree being clearly several years old, maybe even 20 years old or more - is her having lived out her natural life as she said she would, in widowhood, and her spirit is finally reunites with his.

The rating is steady rising up, I'm happy to see it!
This drama has zero amount of filler, it's firing on all cylinders and from what I've seen it's very entertaining.
This is not at all as bad as many other similar dramas released the last couple of years.
I watch The Double first thing in the morning, then I saw these eps and watch these last thing at night.
My summer is going OK so far, cannot wait for Lost You Forever s2 in July!

Why only 7.6? not good? I did not start it, for I wait for more episodes to air. Plus I am still watching the…
Haters, not a boring moment.

This is better than those dramas that were aired back/back recently, this is 'little substance' done correctly.
In fact I dropped them all.
The first Fox Spirit Matchmaker was TERRIBLE, never seen Yang Mi so boring.. what even was that?

How dare people rate this so low?
I'm having lots of fun watching this.
I'm not bored at all.
It's a bit like the remake of Heavenly Sword Dragon Slaying Sabre, it wasn't highly 'rated' either, but I grew to enjoy the hell out of that too at the time.

I like extremely wooden and awkward MLs so this drama was a 10 for me.
He never warms up either, which is another huge bonus, I feel nobody plays awkward to the end, MLs always 'warm up' and learn social interactions.
If you're awkward, you stay awkward or it breaks immersion.

I LOVE the ending, it was with the time for when this was released and very 'fated' for her station.
All other dramas that depict these things -ending differently- feel more like pure FANFICTION, which is fine it doesn't ruin all dramas.

Do they really love each other?
The answer is a resounding Yes.

Do they rage against destiny? That's never even on the menu, they simply seek to soak in each other's company, enough as to last an eternity.
It's infinitely more romantic than 99.98% of other drivel.
As such being the case, the ending is happy and inevitable.

In the novel, she chooses to be alone, not sure about whether they will change this for drama.
The continuation is basically fanfiction.

Scarlett didn't really choose, Rhett left.

I dropped Queen of Tears somewhere around ep9, which in my opinion is around the time when a drama falters, fumbles and turns boring.
This however, it kept changing and moving in different directions. I thought I was well beyond done with time travel dramas, but this never felt like one - it also never felt sci-fi or mystical.
I loved W for all the same reasons, there was clearly lots of timey wimey stuff going on, but it was so very relatable, the story was progressive and the leads have fire chemistry.

I drop a lot of dramas these days, Korean and Chinese. I feel so grateful when they are good and hold me captive for each and every episode. It happens less and less these days.
I really hope I wont drop the Spirit Fox Matchmaker trilogy, and I really want to love Joy of Life 2, but it feels like the break was too long.
Let's celebrate great drama crafting when we see it.

I didn't think I'd encounter another ML actor who stops me in my tracks when he smiles, but here we are. This guy's presence is ARRESTING.
I couldn't watch 20th Century Girl, because my heart squeeeeeezed when I read the plot, but I know he was magnificent in that too, from the little I saw.
It's like the characters in that movie got another chance in this drama.

How long to wait for this.
If this was already filmed and broken up into 2 seasons, they have some new rules so it's possible it'll be in 2025. Lost You Forever for example could be out this summer or next winter, as China now wants seasons spaced out by a year.

Just watched this, it's my 3rd Chinese Drama and it was great. It's probably the longest drama i've watched too…
We've waited 1000 years honestly.

This is a story about how amasing Yuan Zhan is, some stellar character development and it's worth watching simply to watch how you make a good, multifaceted man with some solid values. I haven't seen this since it aired in 2017, it was pretty slow to get subbed at the time as it was ALL fan subs, I shall however re-watch it as Yu Hai Qian was indeed commendable again as a character in Legend of ShenLi.

It's rare, when a drama you've waited years for.. is fairly consistent throughout and isn't spectacularly worse than the novel. It's also pretty rare that you get the quality actors for precisely every single role - Xu Hai Qiao smashing it out of the ballpark AS ALWAYS, he can really, really act (and I'm emoting like a stupid fool...my eyes are positively gooey with tears) It's absolutely necessary to watch Lost Love In Times just to see his full potential... he steals the WHOLE DRAMA- and here we are, as if by magic, not disappointed at all.

I swear, most adaptations have a deeply lacking aspect, the only regrettable thing here is that it was over too soon. Cause the story isn't very long, but still.
I look forward to seeing He Yu as leading man soon.

I'm getting to know ML in Shenli, and he's a total grower.#
I love Xu Kai, but he's not been in anything great since he depicted Fuca Fuheng and in the two dramas with Bai Lu. I dropped his Sword and Fairy adaptation, and the other one that aired simultaneously.
I'm hoping Furong smashes this one, I feel because the leads are fairly unknown this stands a good chance.
