Just finished episode 11 and oh, how I cried at the scene between the Queen and Prince Bogum. Kim Min Ki is definitely going places after this. He is such a talented young actor.
Even the character of Bogum is such a layered, complex, and righteously flawed one. Definitely the realest out of all the princes.
Can't wait to see more of him and Grand Prince Seong Nam together in future episodes. These two, and the Queen (obviously) are carrying this drama.
Is it just me or does anyone else also find the romance angle for the grand prince unnecessary or forced? Cause…
as much as she is a sweetheart, she feels like a little sister instead of a potential love interest for literally ANYONE. I find myself itching to skip her scenes. I don't want her to be the new crown Princess please she's just not it. Cho Wol is a much better character to be honest, she'd make a great royal too.
Bogum is hands down my favourite prince! So much dimension, depth and charisma. Love this boy and the bond between him and Seong Nam. I want more of these two!
this is pure speculation but I have a suspicion the king's newest (and youngest) concubine might be playing a more important role in the future with the romance line. Again, just pure speculation on my part.
Can you spoil me about pairing in this drama and what type of characters main leads are playing
The reason why Joe becomes a forensic officer is because Jay is killed during an important investigation. Joe swears to get revenge for his brother's death and thus decides to follow in his footsteps.
Nun has always loved Jay but she also led Joe on for quite a long time. After Jay's death, she tries to turn Joe into his perfect twin brother Jay, and since Joe already liked her, he goes along with it for a while until he realizes that he has gradually fallen in love with Lukwah, the only person who accepted him for who he always was and never wanted him to shadow someone else. Lukwah is a total sweetheart btw, she's beautiful inside and out. She's kind of always known about the first love triangle and although she loves Joe she never gets in the way of Nun and him. Ultimately, Joe realizes his true feelings and him and Lukwah end up together.
Nun dies at the end of the series too, promising to reunite with Jay in another life.

But I'll be lying if I said that I don't spend every episode wishing they weren't related. I'd kill for literally any BL moments.
