I knew it! I knew that evil bitch was channelling the family's misfortune to him. He might have his own misfortune but they piled it on him. Would also explain why they were more than happy to keep the shaman on retainer doing their dirty work. This is a light-hearted drama so no one is going to be 100% evil but I wish they could switch genres for a little bit and Yeomhwa plus both the leads' parents get theirs big time.
While I liked Ji-ho from the start I was a little miffed that he didn't stand up for Seong-a all the time. But he has more than made up for it. He's such a ray of sunshine. And he seems to love physical affection so being all touchy-feely with Gyeon-u is right up his alley.
Also Gyeon-u's parents need to die by a thousand needles. Seong-a's parents too. And Jin-yung's dad.
Sometimes come to read the comments of people who just watched the drama and I'm glad it's still hitting as it did when it first aired. Really need Kim Hee Won to direct another drama post haste.
Choo Young Woo has such grown man energy it's a little difficult to see him as a high schooler. But he's making it work somehow and the rest of the cast being so good helps. My fave side character is the spirit mother. She's so badass. Her styling is 10/10.
Just finished ep 1 and I love this. That I've seen the Korean adaptation does not affect my enjoyment in the least because while they did a fantastic job with it, this (so far) is quite good in its own right.
Sorn and Jun, you'll always be famous. I liked this way more than I expected. Has its plenty issues but the entertainment factor is high. Yoon's voice is quite nice.
Rating this on cuteness factors only. All the teenagers looked and acted like teenagers. Nothing too over the top. Angst is minimal and issues are cleared up (a little too easily and) quickly but I personally didn't want it to get too heavy and they nailed that much.
I like the love triangle mostly because it's not getting in the way of their friendship. For now at least. But I don't think it will. Ji-ho is a good kid and cares deeply for his friends even though he's a little flippant about it and plays too damn much. I actually hope he doesn't get hurt caught between those two.
also how is no one recognising her? she’s wearing a transparent veil 🤨🤨. I know it’s drama land but…
Her clients and her classmates are completely different groups of people. Also no one is looking closely at a shaman's face. The one time someone looked closely (that annoying boy) he saw the resemblance immediately.
Also Gyeon-u's parents need to die by a thousand needles. Seong-a's parents too. And Jin-yung's dad.
