I agree with the first part. But it's also true that in recent drama that subject is more explored in mainstream…
I'd not seen ep 4 when I made my comment. I was reacting more from ep 3 and to the idea that sleeping with someone else after his breakup made him a bad person. But I agree with him being problematic after watching ep 4.

I don't think the writer intended Ban Ju Yeon to be a character that's taken too seriously and that's why Choi Hyun Wook is the perfect casting imo despite actually looking too young for the role. If you don't fixate on that he's just right for an immature character who is acting out a child's version of what an adult/company executive should be. If he'd had a chance to explore his hobbies in a healthy way/environment, he'd me a completely different person. He pretty much had to raise himself and it shows.

Another interesting thing is that most of his gestures/speech patterns are very game/cartoon character coded. It's funny but also kinda sad. That said, I'm enjoying the character. I'm not feeling the romantic chemistry with the FL yet but the comedy when they're together is right up my alley. Hopefully the rest of the drama keeps the same tone and doesn't get too melancholy.

Mahn. K-dramas have given so many people an unrealistic pov about sex and purity culture in Korea. THEY DO BE HAVING SEX. And one-night stands. Casual sex. Hook-ups. Cheating. Like everywhere else in the world. And it's always been in their films and dramas. Maybe just not the ones that got popular in your ends of the world. Sex in dramas is not a new thing or "western" thing. The idea that sexual content in k-dramas in a westernisation thing is such a reductive argument. Infantile even.

That said. The 2ML did nothing wrong. Nothing about the man that was shown said he was mean or uncaring towards her. He spent time researching restaurants for their date. You can't date a nice guy and expect him to turn if off for everyone except you. It's only a problem where they don't have clear boundaries and the 2ML did. Everyone seems to have conveniently forgotten when someone came on to him and he told them he had a girlfriend.

Was kind of funny when the ex broke up with him and he was like okay and she got mad at him for not, idk, begging her? That he went on to have sex with the 2ML does not make him a bad guy. If he was still in a relationship he would have turned the request down. But he was at that moment a single man. There was sexual attraction and boom. I much prefer it to him being miserable and sad over the breakup.

I mean... guys who treat anyone and everyone "nicely" are almost always on the far end of the "agreeable" side…
But he did say no when someone asked for his number and told them he has a girlfriend.

Westernization. The Kdrama writer and director wants their drama to spread on International lever that's why one…
Again with the westernisation because only westerners are sexual? Such a lazy argument. That you prefer and watch dramas where grown adults blush when holding hands doesn't mean Korea has not been making dramas with very sexual content for decades.

ps: Majority of k-dramas are not failing. That's a bloody lie. I'd do the data analysis and share but it's useless to do the work for someone who'd so blatantly lie to support their argument.

Getting a little frustrated with Yifan. I know I know. She's been through a lot but she's so quick to jump to the wrong conclusions while ignoring the evidence right in front of her nose. But I'm glad she went to the doctor finally.

I totally get Sang Yan not wanting to make a direct first move. Once bitten, twice shy. But it'll be nice to see him say something that lets Yifan know he's still into her. Of course then we'll have to deal with the possibility of Yifan running away. *deep deep sigh*

I feel bad for blind date, she seems liked good person with same flirting levels as FL. In cases like this ML/FL…
Her quickness to criticise Yifan because of the food burning was kinda annoying. Nobody asked her opinion. Other than that she seemed like a regular person.

I am on ep 5, I went in it with an open mind as possible when, it is advertised as same timeline as hidden love.…
Seen a few comments about how the Sang Yan from Hidden Love is seen from his sister's POV. And that completely makes sense. He likely hid his heartbreak and pain from his family. That side of him is now in focus because he's the lead and for the plot.

Don't want to be negative, but ML needs to grow the fck up. He is supposedly 30+ years old? Also his mood swings…
I sort of agree but the signs point to his attachment being tied in some way to his childhood and parents. Same with his reaction to people being judgmental about his hobby. That grandmother's actions is enough to give anyone a serious complex.

Also, the character needs to start from somewhere in order to undergo character development aka growing up. Plus the FL isn't much better EQ-wise if we're keeping it a buck.

Yes Yifan. One plus one equals two. It's simple maths.

Sang Yan is so petty and I love it. Wish the character was a bit more about trying to get Yifan to go to this hospital she keeps mentioning but it's nice that he's making things as safe for her as he can.

Mu Cheng could have been a cute smitten character and it'll have still worked for the plot. I'm unsure now why the writers have the character be unlikeable and all up in Yifan's personal space/business. I can't wait for Yifan to clear him once and for all.

Enjoying the second couple a lot and can't wait for them to get together.

Faifa continues to be my favourite character. He's so generous with his love and care to others. And it's completely genuine. A confession this early took me by surprise but I don't hate it.

The toxic almost casual cruelty of some of their actions befuddle me. Maybe I'm too old to remember but have kids always been this into stringing someone else along when they know they like someone else?

Just why must they always use the same annoying tropes ? In my opinion, this only proves their laziness and stupidity.…
She's living with a man though. Wouldn't the same logic apply? (Also he's not a complete stranger. Let's stick to clear facts.)

For some character analysis. Notice how she tries her best not to offend even in situations where she can insist on her boundaries? Even with friends and family. Once there is some pushback she caves/goes along. This is separate from her SA experience. One of the character development I expect to see is her being more firm about her boundaries. And we should see her do this with the ML as well.

But I figure this will be lost on you since you really think the writers are stupid and just throwing random things into the plot so I'll save my breath. Cheers.

Tropes work. What you consider "original" most times is just a different version of a trope. This entire drama? A trope (cohabitation). Calling writers stupid and lazy is an okay way to vent your frustration but they're neither of those things in reality.

A novel and the screen adaptation are two completely different animals. Know this and know peace. The screenwriters can choose to add, remove or alter the plot/characters as they see fit. You might not like it but if it serves the screen version, they will do it. If making the screen Mu Cheng Yun more over-enthusiastic than the novel version serves to make the scandal/gossip that comes after have a stronger bite then that's what they're going to do.

You make a good point, she's not good at protecting him. She doesn't have that fierce inner mother bear. She's…
The grandma is inherently selfish and wants to own Eunchong. She wasn't the best mother to her own child either.

She's no use to Eunchong if she's done for assault? Violence in front of kids is also not great parenting. lol
Reckless violence? Yes. Using violence to save him? All the kid sees is their mum is willing to fight for them and would do everything to keep him safe.

Violence would have been justified. Him grabbing the boy, running through the house and jumping on table put him in danger. Not to mentioned he'd previously kidnapped the child. Pretty sure any assault charges would be easy to kick out. Talking specifically about the character it was more about keeping the peace so the pos does not reveal the secret.

Your scumbag ex grabs your "adopted" son and you're trying to have a conversation? When there are bottles nearby you can break on his head? All this episode shows is that Hana is incapable of protecting Eunchong. It takes more than nursery rhymes and hugs to raise a child. I've been able to excuse her naivety so far but not this time. That man should have been bleeding through all the holes in his body. How can keeping the chairwoman's secret be more important than your child's safety? Nah. Fuck the writers fr.

Pemika could have done everything for the team without any of the underhand methods she choose. They're all reasonable kids and if she had communicated from the start they'd have gotten with the program. Instead she chose to manipulate them, ruin their friendship, and tie Thame down with slave contracts. She did not have to be a heartless bitch. So all that time spent on her in ep 11 was wasted on me. I hate her guts. Love her fits though.

Episode was good but I'm here wishing someone would go through my house and order all the stuff I need. Love language fr.
