(a) If Shin is 17, he will be legal in just one year because Japan's regular "Age of Consent" is 18. (b) Japan…
24 of 36 Nigerian states have adopted the Child's Rights Act which puts age of consent at 18. To make a blanket statement like the one in this comment is misinformation.
Zany in the best possible way. The exaggerated fight scenes had me smh but I guess that's okay since the comedy is over-the-top anyways. Love the chemistry between cafe staff.
I also find the comedy jarring. It could have worked for me if it was real funny, but it wasn't. The comedy is…
This makes sense. There are usually one or two supporting characters who provide comic relief in a drama like this. Here we have almost all the main characters playing that role. Hopefully, it's better handled in the subsequent episodes. Nice to finally figure out what my issue is.
Have you been a fan of the more comedic historical dramas? Maybe it's the combination of genres with the comedy…
I'm a fan of comedic historical dramas. Loved Secret Royal Inspector and Joy. Maybe that's it. I wasn't expecting this much comedy (at least not from the trailer or tags) so it threw me off a lot. Will certainly come back to it.
I'm so sorry you couldn't get into it and feel the need to take a break. I can assure you that you are in the…
Lol. No need for the "minority" jab. I like the drama. Wouldn't even think of coming back to it later if I didn't.
I made my comment in the hopes that someone else understood what I was talking about and could help me figure out why I have this issue. If you read it as a diss to the drama or people who love it, it's not.
I couldn't get into Ep 3. I've never had an issue with comedy in dramas before, in fact, I love it, but for this drama, the comedy is jarring and some of it seems unnecessary to me. I honestly can't figure out why so I'm going to take a break and try later. Disappointed because I was so looking forward to watching weekly. :(
There's a reason I try not to watch remakes. You cannot help but compare it with the original. And tbh it's rare that a remake beats the original. Which is why I'm kinda glad I couldn't get into the original Money Heist despite the hype. Going into this with zero expectations. I'm prepared to love it.
Every VeeMark scene ends with them looking like they're holding back tears. It's a little over the top but I get the emotions/intensity they're trying to convey.
Realised that in dramas where the male lead is warm and kind and gentle opposite a fiery and powerful female lead, the verdict is usually that a) the actor can't act b) the leads don't have any chemistry.
Enjoying this drama so far. I've been pretty indifferent to Hwang In Youp in his other dramas but he's doing a good job with Gong Chan. Character is a little annoying with all the meddling. Yes, Oh Soo Jae does need more people in her corner but he doesn't have any real power so he could end up getting hurt or being her Achilles heel. Her reaction to Gong Chan is spot on. She's equal parts touched and exasperated, lol.
As for chemistry, I'm not sure what that should look like other than what it currently does given the plot of the drama and the characters' personalities. Oh Soo Jae is not going to stand around staring for 30 seconds into some man's eyes waiting for someone to knock and interrupt the moment.
Ep6... the financial scheme... I'm easely lost here. Complicated stuff. I'm not sure I get a good traduction moreover.…
Didn't you drop this drama at Ep 4? You made a point of responding to a couple of comments with that information. Now you're spoiling the following episodes willy nilly. Not cool.
