It's hilarious to watch this drama, I feel like it's a 2000s kdrama where logic doesn't need to get involved or to interfere the plot as long as the leading character has an entertaining development.

Confidence queen isn't very confidence after all... Even the title itself it's confusing... Online it's known as CONFIDENCE QUEEN but in the drama the title intro CONFIDENCE MAN
The band seems already retired after 25years later. The ML so dedicated his soul to the FL and he didn't expect anything in return. This is just good writing
The most stupid thing the Su Yeol ever did was to overestimate himself. If he hate so much about his past why did he became a detective? Okay maybe he's a righteousness person but why did he get married like a foolish boy when he fear his wife might found out about his past. That's his fault!
If this drama truly made Su Yeol's mom a monster then it's a one dimensional story this drama has will be a disappointment because I invest too much to its reasonable twist but it seems Episode 4 already reach the chaotic situations I guess I mustn't expect too much in the future episodes 😔
This drama was honorably so bad... I'm sure they put a lot of efforts during the making behind the scenes of this drama but still failed miserably. Its funny to see they promote U+ as the smartphone company brand but it's obviously a Samsung where Flip/Fold Z 7 & S25 +/Ultra was appear as an advertisement 😒. The casting is so cool. 👏🏼 The character development is dumb. 👎 The action sequences is dull. 😑 The storyline is so poorly written. 🙁 The dialogue is lazy writing. 🤨 The visual effect is mid to mediocre. 😕 The screenplay is weak. 😮💨 The directing/editing so lame. 🙄 Mirr and Ogwi romance was a bait... There's nothing to expect from it.

There's two type of political wars in this, 1 - relate to food wars which is so well written, with its serious slapstick and humor screenplay made everything so fun to watch. 2 - relates to the king and his mother's dead incident which has typical vibe for a historical kdrama and feels like another clichè attempt failed to achieve .
This drama is getting crazy ... the slapstick scenes worked! but failed to delivered a stable comedy in the less serious development of the 3 leading characters during their mission of conning techniques.
My boi Jo Jae Yoon, i always remember him from every drama he appear especially as Jin Mu in AoS... his character in this drama so cool, he maybe a very strict foreign guy but he's very reasonable indeed. I like this drama that it stay true to it's titled i.e. in every episodes a special sequences of cooking and tasting was always there that so impactful to the main plot itself which made it very entertaining to watch. The King's concubine always anxious when the King's getting closer to the FL, was she jealous? or she love him? i doubt or its because she just want to own him completely.
The supernatural fantasy is good. The love story is worth watching. The performance of the casts is very strong. The plot is too plain. The VFX is weak (though i have no complain). Overall, it's a good historical fantasy movie for romantic genre fans but it's still lacking too much.
My Boi ju joon hyuk appear in confidence queen and this drama the same month most talk about Web series kdrama.
If this drama cast other lead it would've been another average kdrama but it surprise me because the plot was written so well, the writers understood international politics very well. The directing and cinematography technique was western style, I can tell with it's cinematic action vibe it's not like other serious action kdrama where the vibe feels too dark it's bored to watch. This one is new level of making political thriller kdrama it's so interesting to watch and the bonus was that it has romance! that's very clever decision, I praised it👏🏼🔥 Jun Ji Hyun nailed her performance so well, I like her in romcom drama but in her she's so cool too and I love it!

I watch this drama right after I saw the drama of the week online (for two weeks it hold champions as the highest score) , how this drama got 6.6 in douban ratings but shadow love got much lower, so I watch this as a comparison. Also I can't trust douban rating, even legend of the female general got higher than shadow love which I think shadow love is a bit better than legend of the female general

Because this is all my opinion, when I watch shadow love and didn't watch this drama but now I understand one thing about this drama was similar and that is it's romance storyline is strong but both of them so weak when it comes to main plot
