Well this is inevitable when it comes to historical drama portraying a foreign character casting not a foreign actor. No one to blame here though. It's a fictional drama not a documentary or based/inspired from true story/event to be accurate as much as possible. Insult and mocking doesn't work here
This drama has the fan-service from sequences to sequences I'm not surprising anymore. The writers of this drama definitely overconfidence... It's ridiculous to watch. Though it's not a bad drama especially when I reach half way of the series I find it very interesting and praised a lot of its attempt even though the plot is filled with flaws then after passing half way I find it too silly, the plot hole is everywhere, a random thing pops up of no where just to surprise the viewers that this and that are important to the plot, for me it's too clichè and feel uninspired to watch 😔. The character development of the demon characters most of them are very good however the human characters most of them are poorly written, it does have nicely introduction to an arc but the conclusion misfired which made the arcs lost its purpose in the first place. The only thing I praised was the romance between the leads and the FL so adorable and cute with humor in a romance so well done... I rather prefer SHADOW LOVE even though that drama has bad written storyline at least it stay true till the end of the drama as a mediocre plot but this drama from good storyline to very disappointed failed attempt but it's not the worst. The only reason I watched this drama because it's surpass SHADOW LOVE popularity online.

The fact that Song Seung Heon Co star Lee El in BLACK (2017) where she's his ex-girlfriend it's funny to watch them in this drama. The concept of the drama so interesting. The cast is very well done. Kang Du Won still annoying as fk and Ko Hui Yeong, she needs to have some confidence herself, I meant she won a award at Cannes, one of the most special award ceremony for professional, that means she's indeed one of the Best but I guess she feel guilty and nervous around I'm Se Ra. THE FL is in a 50years old body and a 25years old brain but the ML is a 50years old guy who revert back to a 25years old detective who fell in love with the FL. She's immature and he's a fool drown in love. Why the hell did the 50years old Ko Hui Yeong still going head to head with a 25years old... Hui Yeong already experienced acting for another 25years during the FL gone AWOL.. FL acting is from 25years ago era, it should've been outdated but boy she still won the auditions judges heart.
What's the PMY character want from Joo Jong Hyuk character it's deeper than I thought(& why he joint her in a dangerous quest?? For now it's still unknown), her background story still unclear and will eventually reveal in the more upcoming episodes. This drama is not The Best latest drama but very interesting and I'm not a fan of such genre, it's always has complex storyline but I'm only here for Park Min Young, she adorable and very gorgeous 😍❤️... Her performance so strong, she can be cold, eccentric, gullible and cute.
Kim Sejeong in historical! Yesss!!! I'm loving it❤️. The ML is my Boi from Extraordinary Woo... WOOO, awesome! Also the 2nd female lead, so gorgeous😍... She deserve her own leading role
Lee El portray a mature and a hardworking character in this drama whereas in her other new dram My Troublesome Star her character so greedy full of enviness and also a very foolish woman.
Ep. 2 just confirm how the ML will comeback to his mother side just like the poster, now his weakness is his wife, if something happen to her, he'll change side instantly. Also why Choi Jung Ho want him to stay close to ML mother for crime investigation, he got plans or that the ML has the ability like his mother but he's a cop doing justice. ML mother maybe a killer or not we'll find out sooner or later.
Some of the screenplay is straight up laughable 🤣🤣🤣. PHS ❤️ LJB as a couple! Yes that's what I like but I don't think it can save the drama plot/character development because this plot depends on what happen in the past and the mystery was too confused because the lack of established a better introduction definitely failed to attempt. I don't know what will happened in the last 2 upcoming eps. we'll see
The ming envoys were portrayed by Korean actors and I think because it's for entertainment purposes and to avoid controversy, they appear in other kdramas, it's funny to watch, I'm not complaining but it's comedy! 😂 THE plot still steady but the romance getting stronger! Hope joseon team win in a spectacular style. We are at ½way of the series and seems like all the villains still let loose and free to do whatever they want, which I hope to reach at ep. 10 forward to see the end of the line for many villains.

1.they fell in love before ep. 10 the their chemistry getting stronger and stronger. 2. In the late ep.20s an indication was shown that after ep. 30 a huge misunderstanding, broken heart moment appear because of amnesia 3. It's take 4 to 5 episodes to recover the romance 4.its has happy ending, where ML and FL leave all behind and want to live in remote area and having kids on their own.
This drama so great only when the romance focus on the leads💯. But I can still say the plot bothers me, it's plain, dumb, lazy, lifeless and too bland, at first the plot is weak which is okay like any other typical cdrama but then it's getting worse till it cross the line of no saving at all. The drama exists because they established a romance so strong that the plot generate from it, which is rare for a cdrama... Other cdrama exists because of a plot and the romance follow behind, but in this drama first of all it's worth watching when I see the leads, other than that it's boring. Example ; the prince who later became emperor character development is sh!t, he love the FL but then fake her death to bait the ML and if he didn't show up he let her die for real where he married her when she died and announced to the world she's the empress, wait what?! Is he mentally ret@rded or something? He's a sneaky lying son of a b*tch, he will never change Also LuXin, she care so much for the FL like a sister and really against killing someone whether they are bad or good people because a life is a life but then when FL was captured by the ML who forgot his past, she said to MoYin he should kill the ML but MoYin were against it but later when the ML said he need the jade longling because it could be a way to save the FL, LuXin without hesitation she argue, No! because it's Wuling treasure... What in the actual a$$. Also she's a very eccentric woman who act first think later, like when she steals valuable medicine from Wuling just to help people outside without the permission of Wuling mountain, she's not taking it seriously... She's too immature but mature at the same time(right here it show how much the writings failed to improve a character) - - - the plot so bad it's scary to watch sometimes.
Anyway the more I watch till the end I'm getting bored but the chemistry between the leads definitely worth watching! It's like the plot on her0ine, the screenplay on c0caine and the romance of the leads on Ster0id!

i was like man this drama might definitely be good since its a modern era cdrama it end at 26-30 episodes but 45??... i'd have to watch the other 26-30 ep. cdrama for now
So far episode 1 there's nothing yet but the mysteries is strong. The mother-son relationship might be a very strange as of now but sooner or later it's definitely a misunderstanding between them where the son eventually came back to his mother side.
Oh hell no! The new emperor just found out who's Ji'an real identity!!! Theres going to be a chaotic situation in the upcoming episodes... I feel sad for the ML, his mind is conflicted right now between his true identity, his love life and his target to kill his father in law, he keeps remembering bit by bit... He forgot the importance part that his brother wasn't mainly of his father in law fault but mainly because of the empress and her RHM.
Wang Ying Lu performance definitely deserve recognition, well done & Arthur Chen so good too, very beautiful romance story, though it's not strong enough when it comes to the plot/storyline, it's somewhat slow however whenever the story arc to end because it's limited the writers add new and unexpected ideas to extend the drama, no wonder it ends not more than ep. 33, it's enough. The ending gave the fan service and I think it's very clever decision indeed👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼. The FL stuck for 37years inside her dream of alternate universe of historical fantasy then wake up and back to work with no time to rest, damn! She must be tired and also Sima jiao as her boss in the dream and in modern era version he became her boss too... It's more than coincidence and more like fate and destiny intertwined together.
