I think at this point (epi 24) the one thing that is for certain and we can all agree on is XY loves CX . She doesn’t understand her feelings for either Jing or XL so right now she doesn’t love either of them.
People toss around the word love so easily but it’s really not that simple, loving someone is making a promise, a commitment to another person. XY is not healed from her past yet therefore she can’t just fall in love so easily.
I hope people don’t seriously think that XY only stayed with Jing and didn’t leave with FFB just because of CX? On the surface yes but she’s been waiting for Jing and mad at him because he stopped sending the plum wine, since he said when he sends those it also means he misses her. He also hasn’t contacted her for a long time.
In the novel, part of the reason why was hanging out with FFB all over the city to get Jing’s attention because she didn’t hear from him in so long. She knew that word would spread and Jing would have to have heard about it.
She hates waiting but for Jing she will wait even though she tries her best not to. XY can sometimes be practical and lets her ego talk but she’s still a girl discovering/figuring out her feelings as well. She’s doing what girls usually do which is say one thing but really doesn’t mean it. Especially whenever it comes to Jing. She becomes ultimate girl mode. Saying she doesn’t want to see him but she actually does. Saying she hates him but she doesn’t. Telling him to stop talking but really she wants him to talk lol when CX told her about Jing, she was going to leave but she couldn’t help but ask about Jing and wondered if he asked to see her. When he left her his hair, she even said “he’s gone, yet left me a wisp of hair to drive me wild with want” the girl is head over heels for him as he is with her it’s just she tries to act unbothered and tough on the outside but softens when it comes to Jing.

Yes, it’s like a trend I guess lol before it was the tsundere type and now everyone likes morally grey guys 😅usually the genuinely nice guys are the 2ml that sacrifices for love 😂 so it’s interesting to see what TH did in LFY. She has all 3 typical male lead endings in one drama: the one that ends up alone, one that gets the girl, one that dies for the girl 🥲 I love Jing’s character so much though If only such a person exists

Usually I will check out the drama to see if I like it or not. I assume my actor would want me to enjoy their works and not feel burdened to watch their shows just for them.
