I get what you're saying, but I don't agree. He doesn't look hard or like he's in a gang at all. This is a man.…
I know, nothing is wrong! I love it, I've been dying to see him as a kdrama male lead for so long. Its likely because all the actors I've seen are usually the flower boy types, so this one was new for me. And his character is also meant to be really manly, not a golden retriever, but it turns out he lowkey is one. And that change from his stoic face to cheesing every time Seori is around him is so funny. Not all trying to insult him! Have you seen pictures of Don Ma with that cute ass phone case, that's what it feels like. Promise I'm not one of the people you speak of lol.

I can't lie, Heo Nam Jun doesn't suit smiling. NOW HOLD ON LET ME FINISH! He has such a serious and stoic face, that him cheesing the whole episode every time he looks at Seori just made me laugh. And not in the sense that he is ugly, but it's sweet seeing such a tough looking guy getting giddy like that, all the side smirks. And paired with him talking nonchalant, it's a hilarious and unique combo. I don't think I felt this way about any Korean male lead ever. He might be the most masculine looking male lead I have seen, which is not an insult at all to other Korean actors. Does anyone yet what I'm saying? If I could give an example, it's like the Yakuza stay-at-home husband anime...

When "When you wish upon a Star" started playing, it made me emotional. It was strangely fitting. I'm happy for Seori realizing she too can be happy. Can you believe it three people now have told her to or "allow her" to continue to date Segye! How confusing this must be for her. Glad she's can do it on her own terms.

24 episodes, that's surprising. I'm concerned about the pacing and character/plot development, but at least I shouldn't have an issue with finishing it! Which I have been having problems with recently hehe...

But it is truly sad. I don't know how I will watch the drama.
What do you mean the drama is only the 7 chapters of the novel? Or will the drama include the 7 extra chapters? If not, then what is the rest of it? I don't mind spoilers! I plan to read it cause its short.

I liked him since EP1. 😂 I LOVE his attitude because I hate fake people, so I'm like him who tells the truth…
I wouldn't mind that if he didn't overdo it or wasn't hypocritical, literally does not understand social cues. Let's see though! Cause I'm learning more about him and the other characters now too.

Just finished the first episode, and boy is this guy unlikable. I'll keep watching for the sake of character development and also because Im only beginning to understand this character. A very passionate, probably depressed, slightly eccentric man who only has the weather to ground him. Looking forward to finding out how much of a masterpiece this show truly is. Don't hate me for this I doubt anyone like this guy from the start haha.

Yeah, he does eventually start winning — it’s not one of those “suffer endlessly for realism” endings.…
Okay that's nice to hear. I've heard that it's one of the philosophical kinds, but glad to know its still a kdrama lol. Thank you!

I want to watch this show but I'm worried it'll break my heart seeing the main character being beat down for so long before he starts winning... and I don't know if he starts winning. Does he? Does she? Or is it like a philosophical ending, not "storybook". Same with romance, I don't mind if it's not heavy or fairytale-esque but do they end up together?

I need that magical music from episode one to appear again... I wanna feel like I'm levitating. If you don't know what I'm referring to, it was at her death scene and at the end of episode one.

Okay, I’ll just say it, i'm not feeling the hype for this romcom. not at all. I loved Lim ji yeon in her previous…
I am enjoying it wholly and completely, and I can understand her over exaggerations to everything. It reminds me of older romcom kdramas. I will say though, that plane scene was very set-up. Her slapping him is fine, but getting up when they ask for a doctor was a liiiiittle bit of a reach, even though she said she was familiar with medicine.

I'm happy she actually likes him and she was putting a front. And not just because I'm happy their interest is mutual, but because I really respect her making her stand in this new life she was given. Love isn't her priority (but it might be later haha). She also doesn't want to listen to that King's reincarnation (glad she caught on quick), and have a repeat of whatever traumatic experience she had with the prince.

not in Joseon :) back then, she has probably never seen any foreigner except maybe some white traders.I have seen…
That’s true, it would be a surprising to see someone a much different shade than you but this is a drama. So for them to put that there, with that intention, is unlikely. Considering there is potential for backlash. No need to bring up any politics or nothing though. I believe it was unintentional but hilarious.

Joseon lady is lead because technically she is not Shin Seo Rin, her soul is who knows where.
Yeah I feel bad for her, we probably will get some news about where her soul has gone down the line.

I'm at first episode yet and I'm confused about something: is the protagonist the joseon lady or Shin Seo Rin?
Joseon lady is lead because technically she is not Shin Seo Rin, her soul is who knows where.
