It reminds me a historical version of Master of my own. She has wins and losses, she's not perfect, learns along the way, side characters that contribute to her journey. It feels very slice of life, and I too am enjoying the pacing!

The audacity of Cui Shi Jiu... it's not Zi Jing fault that the ones steward Cui sold were designated to be tribute pearls. Steward Cui shouldn't have sold the left overs, but he did! Asking this guy to return the pearls when he already bought them (albeit with fake gold lol). Then, correct me if I misunderstood this situation, but in episode 6, did she want him to give the pearls as tribute pearls to this Prince Tan on his own? She thought she was slick LOL.

OMG just episode one and I can see cleary Lusi's acting game leveling up. The scene where she was being hassled about going after the 15mm pearl. The way she delivered her lines, her fighting expression felt real.

Also, I enjoyed every minute of episode 1. Some people surprisingly say it was boring, which is crazy. I do know why they would say that, it is a lot of background for the future, her struggles, they don't really care about lol. They want to get to the plot.

Ayo someone tell me what the hell is the truth eye! Also does he have it or no. Riley's character says he has it, that's why he could see past his deception. And this Li Lun guy says he doesn't... well that's what iQiyi says. At least what we are supposed to know until about episode 6. Is it his "true form" after 1000 years of cultivation>

Someone please explain what's going on in episode 3 and 4. I get the overall gist, they have to try and find the devil responsible for the bride's deaths. But in comes this guy Li Lun. Then this other scaled devil (played by Riley) that ML speaks with? I know the Chongwu guards (idk if that's what they're called, but you know who I'm talking about) are trying to interfere with their search, making it impossible, hiding bodies, trying to kill them? I'm still confused. Like they're following this one bride who is to be married in 5 days, and her house smells weird? They've been planning for a month? Why create this story... Who are these people? So if someone could sum it up!

Yeahhh there are some moments where I'm like pause rewind who tf is that lol

Wait everyone is? That's crazy, for some reason the FLs voice feels so unfitting. I like her voice don't get me wrong, I was just surprised to see that it's hers.

Just finished episode one. I really enjoyed it. I also love the balance of comedy to seriousness. It reminds me a little bit of Vincenzo, but when Vincenzo had to go dark, it went dark! Whereas in this, I feel like it turns of what should be dark right at it's peak. I loved the leads first meeting, so charismatic the both of them.

Question... who voiced the ML? He sounds so familiar, like tan tai jin from till the end of the moon. ALSO wth is that end credit dance sequence. Im cringing so hard LOL

Oh It was annoying to be fair. I was one of the people that believed the trailer to be unfair to the leads. But it was a stretch to assume the whole drama would be that way. I was just wondering because I haven't started the show, and I see equal amount of comments for all leads.

Oh definitely! I always enjoy before the relationship more than the relationship sometimes! I appreciate the little stuff, slow-burn. Hopefully episodes release quick though!

Can someone tell me what the romance is looking like between the leads? From the comments I can tell that their is a big friendship, bromance, maybe sismance going on. I'm not seeing much about the leads in the comment section, do they get less screentime like in that one trailer?

What I don't get about this show... I havent watched it so correct me if I'm wrong. She has liked him from the start right? She has always wanted to be his girlfriend. Then when he doesn't want to, she stays continues to hope to be his girlfriend one day. Then when she gives up on pursuing him, she can't be friends with him. Which I can understand, it is hard to remain friends with someone you want to be with more than friends. But guys do this in real life and get shat on for it.

Men always say that they can't have a platonic relationship with a woman. Women are afraid that their guy bestfriend will one day will try and kiss them or hit them with the "soo.... I've been thinking a lot lately..." LOL Women don't like it when men do that cause they just want their best friend to be their best friend. But for some reason people pity the girl here?

I get that this ML is annoying in the way that just when she gets over him, he reels her back in. It is really immature, cause what's the reason? Jealousy that's she's with someone else? You always liked her but never knew? You didn't want a title? Whatever reason, it's pathetic. I doubt their are many people like this, it's purely for dramaland cause people love the jealousy cliche and men chasing after women.

Despite the lame ML, I still don't like the FL waiting for so long for someone who had no interest. When at that time all he wanted was his best friend.

I've seen clips and I lovee how jealous the ML gets. I really wanna watch it, I've been waiting for a good old rich ML simple FL that meet randomly and fall for each other drama. Especially love it when MLs are very protective almost obsessive over FLs, but we don't see it as often in modern dramas at least.

I want to watch this I'm just worried about the FL from before the timeskip. I'm not a fan of FL falling first, but I can bear it if it isn't them chasing the ML constantly. Unfortunately I feel like that's the case here, and it's even worse cause he's blind! Like leave the man alone, he's fine. Don't help people unless they ask or clearly need it. However, I do like what I see in the second half.

I don't know if I will end up watching this but I need another ML with this vibe. SO RECOMMENDATIONS I BEG!!!

where can I see info about what was discussed at this meeting and what other dramas they have on board. I'm so interested in how so many people know whats up with chinese dramas! Like stuff with distribution licenses, filming dates, like how yal know this stuff!?
