I'm still worried they're gonna mess up FL. That last Naver article just adds more sus fuel. "A mysterious woman…
I just went back and re-read my "wild/crazy" theories from mid-September and the wildest was: "When the body of “Naksu” is "revived", her first words will be: “Hello. My name Mu-deok, I’m from Sari Village and I was sold to Chwisenoru.”
From the very beginning, Jang Uk and Naksu believed that the soul transfer wasn't successful because Mu-Deok didn't have the blue mark. Jang Uk thought the blue mark in her eyes was evidence of the transfer (but I've always believed Jin Bu-yeon had the blue mark in her eyes to begin with). But these were assumptions by Jang Uk and Naksu It would be just like the Hong Sisters to throw in this twist.
Link to the group poster/article at bottom of this post, but I've copied the parts I care about. 😊
First, the precious ChoDang 😥 😥😥"Park Dang-gu and Jin Cho-yeon, who promised to get married, exude chic charm as the new young head of Song Lim and the young lady who is not the youngest daughter of the Jin family, respectively. In particular, Park Billiang-gu's short-cropped hair and Jin Cho-yeon's deepened eyes hint at a new change in their relationship." [NOT the youngest daughter? maybe something sus about the translation]
Yul: "At the same time, Seo Yul returns as a crisis returnee who suffers in pain. Earlier, while returning to Seoho Castle, Seo Yul complained of the side effects of blood worms he received from Soi (Seo Hye-won) and informed him of an abnormality in his physical condition. A narrower face gives a glimpse of his crisis and raises his curiosity." [Three years in pain?? Ugh. ]
Park Jin/Do-joo: "Park Jin exudes the side of a charismatic Song Lim who has dropped everything. I'm interested to see if the relationship with Kim Do-joo, which has been going on for several years, will come to fruition. Kim Do-joo is transformed into a woman in Jang's family and in love. "
Just finished Ep. 1 and 2 and if Mom isn't pulling some celestial strings from above, I'll eat. . . . . . .whatever. All of the accidental encounters and almost misses? Mom has a plan.
tvN began to update the website today and the title now translates as "Illusion: Light and Shadow". It's a mixture of new (trailer and poster) and old (characters, etc.). For instance, Gil-ju and Woo-tak's profiles are still there. Hopefully they will update (add) the characters soon so that I can update the character list from Part 1, although I will cry if they remove Mu-deok.
but BIG kudos to the watchers who caught on to the hints of sexual assault earlier in the drama you guys never…
Uh, no. . . there have a been a few k-dramas in 2022 (Crazy Love and Sh**ting Stars come to mind) where break-ups did NOT happen. Main couple worked through the s**t came their way and survived. Very disappointed even if the "reason" was meaningless.
Also seeing Jiho devastated and crying is the equivalence of accidentally kicking a googly eyed, fluffy puppy…
I was going to give this one of my very rare 10⭐ (Crazy Love was my only other) because there was no break-up. Shoulda-woulda-coulda. Just so unnecessary, zero-value, meaningless.
I knew it that we will have JMS as guess role to close out Mudeok story line.
Minor change - We need JSM to close out the Jin Bu-Yeon story. 😊😊😊 However, until I see something official (and MDL isn't official), I won't get my hopes up.
haha maybe after seeing the glimpse of a petrified girl? We didn't see the face though so at this point it'd be…
Looks to me like the same dress that GYJ wore in the preview - which also appeared to be in Jinyowon. I'm not going to get my hopes up about a JSM return.
I’m just confused why they’re talking about marriage when they’re already married🧍♀️
Perhaps the question is - did they ever have any sort of ceremony? If I understand Korean law correctly, a "marriage" is legal when registered. The only requirement is signing the forms and submitting (registering) to government office. An officiant (priest, minister, justice-of-peace) is not required.
TvN is responsible for creating the posters and other marketing (cast videos, etc) for Korea audience. Netflix never used them. I'm betting that at least 80% of the Netflix AoS audience doesn't even know that JSM will not be in Part 2.
I don't know, it seems pretty much up in the air, there was no real definitive answer. Ji Ho said to Madam Yoo,…
I think there were earlier hints. Mr. Choi's assistant (Ms. Oh) made a comment about Madam Yoo was scorned by the elders because she wanted to be the Chairman's mistress. And then in another episode, when she sat on his desk and pulled him forward with his tie, there were definite "prior relationship" vibes at work. The last couple of episodes they have been softening up Madam Yoo's back-story - i think this will be the final reveal -- "Lady Jaime" was born with chaebol blood. One week to go! 😊
Question re: Ep. 14 - did we get pretty good confirmation that Sang Eun's father is really Jeong Gil tae (head of Eena group)?? If so, that would mean that Madame Yoo was trying to ensure that Sang Eun was groomed for her "rightful" place in the chaebol world.
Drama parents 🤝 doing the absolute opposite of what's actually best for their child in the name of doing what's…
I agree that he is very versatile. In his next drama, he plays a very brutal serial killer - who shows a very benign face to the public. I can't watch violence (the teaser is too much for me), so if I watch, it will be with a very heavy hand on the FF button.
What! Just noticed that….it used to say Naksu/Mu Duk!And having So Min in the guest role was a good indication…
MDL relies on official press releases/statements as well as some "witness" accounts or IG posts that might confirm appearances. TvN issued a very firm statement that Jung So Min will not appear in "Part 2". I also don't know how they will handle flashbacks without showing JSM/Mu-deok
If a decision has been made that this is a "continuation", (Netflix now states it is a 30 episode series) then that may mean that the intro, closing credits, etc. will not change dramatically.
In the end, it will be TvN and Studio Dragon that determine how 'Part 2" will be promoted in Korea and Netflix may decide that it is better for their streaming platform to treat it as one continuous story.
I gotta say I think the show is back on track despite tropey elements like the birth reveal and the chaebol bullshit.…
Thanks for your comment. 💕 I am usually able to watch the minute it drops on viki, but not today. Your post is a ray of sunshine. I'm hoping to watch 13-14 tomorrow. 😊
Well, yes - a handful of k-dramas are available in the Americas and Europe. Same for Disney+ - only a handful available. Fortunately, I'm able to afford Viki so I'm able to watch my newest favorite: "Love in Contract". I'll give "Curtain Call" a quick try - the trailer looks promising. 😊
