Happy Ending? Any romance or chemistry? Please tell me π
Happy "redemptive" ending. Bad guys caught/punished. Our thief family had to go through redemptive arc but all lived and prospered. Romance was subtle - definitely not a major element.
Very well written, lots of fun, each character had their own back story and Ji Sung once again slayed. JMHO.
For those viewers who are leaving the drama. Good-bye. Sorry the show didn't deliver for you (I felt the same at Ep. 10 of My Royal Nemesis and walked away).
But for everyone else that enjoyed Ep. 9/10 simply because 50% of the screen time was dedicated to our charming couple, here's the BTS - a great reminder of all the great moments and how in sync the actors are with each other. Enjoy. π
One of the best final episodes ever. Bad guys punished by the halfway point and then family growth, independence, new lives the last 1/2 hour. Nothing rushed. 10β
also what exactly is min hwan's aim even? when he said it'll be his first and last attempt to ha ri i thought…
He doesn't want to ruin her life - he wants to control her/have her as his own. Taking control of Reina in order to control Yeo-ri is still his plan, I think. He didn't succeed with the shareholder vote. So, now he's proposing a merger - although that would require a shareholder vote as well, but those are usually pro-forma (shareholders rarely disagree if they get paid out a handsome amount for their stock).
So that might mean MH intentionally let the pendant βfallβ in to the MLβs hands? So that could mean MH is…
Well, I also assume the preview is talking about Ji-hwan's pendant, but it's possible that there are duplicates. Preview says he obtains it "by chance" - so I don't see how he could get it "by chance" from Min-hwan.
I still think there's a chance the two shaman loving grandmothers knew each other before the heart transplant.

I don't know what "the pendant" means. However, the viewer - if they can add 2+2=4 - knows that Gang-uk knows that Min-hwan is the "pal" that pushed for the promotion/international gig. Or, maybe the two grandmothers had matching pendants?
The most dogsh**t noble idiocy I've ever seen so far. If this is a 16 eps show, this will be the point to drop…
If it was a 16 episode drama, then the break-up would be at least 3 episodes long. This time, they'll be back together probably 1/2 way thru Ep. 11. π
Me too. I usually easily dropped illogical plot drama but here I can't. I know there's something illogical but…
I'm one of those viewers who really demands that the plot - and the resolution - make sense in the end. Thus far, writer is connecting the dots - slowly, but they are connecting. Prior scenes/conflicts make a difference in future episodes.
Other than the fantasy (I see ghosts), everything is plausible.
I do hope they explain/show how Ji-hwan has been impacting things. Lots of visual hints (things dropping, the handwriting on the mirror) but no specific "evidence" yet if it was Ji-hwan or not.
Wow. Bitch and moan. Bitch some more and whine even more. I don't like noble idiocy but it will be over by the end of Ep. 11 (probably 1/2 way) and then our lovely couple will start fighting back. Together.
I've been recuperating from surgery and the past few weeks this drama has delivered HOURS of slow burn romance (my favorite) with lots of fun scenes (fake date/Singapore) and chaos as well (as promised).
I was hoping for more teamwork on ML's cold cases, but perhaps I'm a rare MDL poster who also enjoys teamwork when fighting corruption and corporate in-fighting subplots.
Min-hwan is going to be destroyed, together with OK and her miserable children. I can't wait.
Meanwhile, here's the written preview for Ep. 11:
"Kang Wook, suffering the pain of heartbreak, feels heartbroken because he cannot approach Yeori, who has come for questioning after being summoned by the prosecution. Then, by chance, he uses the pendant he has obtained in hand as an excuse to approach Yeori once again and show his sincerity."
Also from tvN re: Ep. 10 Kang-wook rushes to Singapore to help Yeori. They join forces to defend Yeori's management rights, which is facing dismissal. Meanwhile, Myo-soon discovers that Yeori's fortune readings are fake, and she tries to force Kang-wook to break up, but Kang-wook firmly refuses...
How come a ghost didn't scare Prosecutor Ma in the elevator to prevent him from getting engaged, in the same terrifying…
Ji-hwan (the ghost) has been working overtime to bring Yeo-ri and Gang-uk together. All of those "coincidences" with victims? certain things tipping over at the right moment? writing on the mirror so that gang-uk could rescue Yeo-ri? He wants them to team up to discover the real secret of his death so that he can cross over to the after life.
Also, twice Gang-uk did something and Yeo-ri asked "how did you know about that". So, Ji-hwan maybe also involved there guiding Gang-uk sub-consciously???
One part that I really don't get is how the FL family convinces major shareholders that she is a bad CEO. Her…
They don't need to convince anyone that she's a bad CEO. They just need to bribe people to vote their way. Ha-ri's mom promised jobs to children of shareholders. Can't remember the other incentives (contracts? exclusive deals?).
I think Grandmother will be a mini-heroine in the end - she is stinking wealthy, after all.
You may be right about Jeju. Min-whan asked his mother if she had a visitor that day, so I assumed Grandmother arrived on her own. Also begs the question - why did Grandmother travel all the way to Jeju just to see mother of heart donor? I think there's a business connection - actually, I'm hoping their is a business connection, lol.
I think Grandmother will be a mini-heroine in the end - she is stinking wealthy, after all.
She may not be chaebol wealthy, but there have been many clues that she has wealth: 1. Owned a "landed" home in Seoul 2. Handed bags of cash to her minions to give to the monks 3. Hired a chauffeured limousine in Jeju. 4.Retired to her very large hanok farm. 5. Raised Gang-uk by sending him to elite schools.
As for where it came from? Probably doesn't matter to the plot.

Having sex with gloves on??? EWWWWW
I didn't read the credits but I assume that Tourist board of Singapore was a significant investor in the drama.
