Looking forward to Ep. 6 - I think we will see a bit more of the "second" lead couple - the young police officer (according to a couple of articles, he may have shaman background) and the granddaughter/fortuneteller.
I wonder what that sunbae police officer is going to do when he gets to know that its his dad who shot Suel Hee's…
I FF thru the scenes involving the murder of Seul Hee's dad (same as with the fishing boat - that was an obvious outcome), so am a bit unclear as to what happened. It's presumably the same night that the "evil spirit" was sealed up in a bottle - but was that shown? If someone could provide a brief summary (probably w/spoiler tag), I would appreciate it - really don't want to have to watch that scene.
Thanks. I think he will be on most episodes, but taking a look at some of the clips from future episodes (see my earlier post), he's clearly not critical to the story.
Something to enjoy while we wait a few more days for Ep. 5
I’m beginning to go down the rabbit-hole re: From Now On, Showtime. Was trying to locate a video version of “Freak Show” OST and found this (which includes a handful of scenes from at least one future episode):
Then found this from Viu (Indonesa) which also includes scenes from upcoming episode(s?), including a bit more about our couple from a past life and several scenes w/the second lead couple – the junior police officer Lee Yong-ryeol and young fortuneteller Cheon Ye-ji.
I use vpn and this does not show in Disney+ at all even though I have tried countries like South Korea, Malaysia,…
I finally broke down and purchased vpn so that I could watch final two episodes of CL in "real time" (Asia time). I also tried Malaysia and Indonesia (with no luck) until someone on this board suggested Hong Kong - and that worked for me.
Gotta love me a drama which does the combining of several genres well and the balance of supernatural, fantasy,…
I was uneasy when I read about the ghosts (mystical genre is not my thing), but in this show, the ghosts are the primary source of comedy. Really enjoying this show - very creative.
Watched this to take the place of my Crazy Love withdrawal. This is not a rom-com. It's strictly a romance and there were no secondary stories - all "conflicts" were oriented around the couple. Loved the ML character, including his dedication to his company and his sense of duty while he progressed/developed throughout the series. The actor/character kept me watching to the end. The FL? She was the same at the end as the beginning. sweet and boring. Lots of filler - this is a story that could easily have been told in 12 episodes with a crisp script. A very happy ending - better than some recent rom-coms. I see that many viewers love this show so it appears to appeal to those who love pure romance. This won't be going on my re-watch list.
Yesterday night's episode rating was 3.3 OMG such a huge jump from its previous episode.Edit: OMG MDL rating is…
Just watched Ep. 4 on my big TV screen w/my brand new Roku and brand new Viki subscription. (Everything up to now, including Crazy Love was on my small computer screen)I'm enjoying this show very much - the romance is classic arrogant ML and ethical FL but plenty of other back story and characters to keep it interesting. A touch too much violence for me, so giving it 9 stars for now.
Very confused - did I miss something? At end of Ep. 3 - the "epilogue" showed ML in practice run; then FL left for a "blind date" and he was distracted and missed a cue. Thought it would be in Ep. 4, but no??? Ep. 4 a lot of fun (matching leather jackets - how cute?). Maybe I'm not sure how to watch this show, but enjoying the ride so far.
Something About 1 Percent seems similar with contractual marriage of a rich guy to a school teacher when they…
I finally purchased Rakuten Viki so that I could watch Shooting Stars and From Now Showtime. Binging on What's up with Secretary Kim. Wanted to try out I am a Robot but it's a "plus" subscription.😪 Still trying to figure things out but next on the purchase list will be a Roku box, I think., so that I can watch on TV instead of computer screen. 😀
Also, then by this person's logic, any enemies to lovers trope, fake marriage contract relationship in any kdramas…
LOL, then the biggest "plagiarism" of all with almost all enemies-to-lovers plots would be. . . . . TA-DA - Elizabeth and Darcy ("Pride and Prejudice"). OR, going even further back in time, Beatrice and Benedick ("Much Ado About Nothing"). In other words. . . . . . .A story as old as time. I have now subscribed to Rakuten Viki and am watching: What's up with Secretary Kim; Shooting Stars, and From Now On, Showtime. Still haven't figured how to link up with Apple TV, but working on it so I can watch on my TV instead of computer screen. Cheers, Kathryn. 😀
This sums up my thoughts exactly and more! 100% agree!Edit - Also, I've said this many times before but I'll say…
Cattaurus, You and I have watched the same show, haven't we? That is, with the same observations, the same "filters" (that is, what's important, what is trivial). After all, you were the catalyst that got me here to MDL! Cyber-hugs.
