I think there is MORE to the story of her death. From the tvN preview: When she (U assume "she" is Mo Eum) encounters…
To be honest, I'm not a fan of Mo Eum (the character). I thought the kiss was meaningless plot device. The couple is just ho-hum to me. Although I've watched them on Korean TV (w/no subs) the last two weeks, when I rewatch the Netflix w/subs, I FF through this couple.

Meanwhile, I find Seung-hyo's parent story to be more poignant and meaningful. Hope to catch up on the Netflix version later tonight.

Hmm. It would’ve been more realistic if Danho had opened up about his dark past, and then Moeum dug deeper into…

also Why has Netflix stopped showing previews of next episodes? I hate them for that. I want something to look…
I don't know about previous, but I was watching live on tvN and they didn't show preview either. 😒 It showed up on the tvN website about an hour later, but no subs of course.

So the real translation apparently is not real love but ‘adult love’. Now that makes more sense. I noticed…
Netflix (at least in the USA) rates the drama 15+, not 18+.

So, I was watching LND on tvN here in Korea and. . . . fell asleep (long day of touristing) . So, waited for the Netflix release to finish it. Worth it!

Gyeong Jong [Seung Hyo's father] is quickly becoming my favorite character (after our lovely main couple, of course).

Title Love Next Door Spoiler
Trope alert: piggyback ride. But not the main couple. Lovely episode even though I didn't understand the words,…
We had to wait to very, very end for The Kiss.

The piggy-back ride was Seung-hyo's father carrying his mother. And major event was Seung-hyo forgiving his mother for abandoning him 30 years ago. It's late here in Korea. Enjoy.

Trope alert: piggyback ride. But not the main couple.

Lovely episode even though I didn't understand the words, the stories (yes, plural) were all about love. Spoiler below for those who can't wait.

If Netflix had dubbed this into many languages, it would trend everyday.
Dubbing usually comes several weeks later. Due to its global popularity, I anticipate that it will be dubbed in several languages fairly soon.

I mentioned this previously, but this is the only Korean drama that I know of that is available (fully subbed) on Netflix WITHIN Korea. Usually, dramas cannot be accessed on Netflix w/in Korea when they are also airing directly on a broadcast or cable channel (e.g. tvN).

This will be my first drama with Kim Jae Young. I'd like to get to know him better and what to expect. Is he a…
I saw him in "Love In Contract" and wasn't impressed, but it may have been the character - 2nd ML, rich, lonely, selfish. I will probably try because I liked Park Shin Hye in Dr. Slump.

It would be interesting if they somehow show that Seokryu asked her senior out during school days after being…
Seung-hyo kissing his ex was definitely when they were both in college - that's when he met his ex (she was a year older) and Beok-ryu was visiting from the US.

She said she liked him first but her feelings faded and she was just his bff and she chased after some other guy…
Same question here. I thought he was rather mocking her when he clapped those erasers. Perhaps it was in a time capsule note or diary?

Pre-release for Episode 11: my phone translator is only slightly helpful but here's the main part.
Highschool: Beok-ryu and Mo-eum are in baking class, creating strawberry cakes. Beok-ryu's cake is "perfect", Mo-eum, not so much. Seung- hyo is surrounded by girls tryig to give him their cakes and Mo-eum comments that his "curve is going up" (grades and popularity?). BR doesn't understand how that could be.

My translator was not very helpful, but this is what tvN says: Why is Choi Seung so popular?!
Seunghyo, the popular guy who doesn't know anything about pomegranates "

Doed this drama have a murder / business / power struggle side plot as kdramas usually have or it is pure romance…
In Korea, the articles say it is about love in the neighborhood - the main romance, (of course), but also relationships between neighbors and friends. It's not a crazy or slapstick comedy, but lots of funny moments.

Okay, i'm ready for the revelation about Seunghyo's family story. We're finally about to get the reason for their…
The bios have been on the tvN site from the beginning.

It's my understanding that when Seung-hyo was 4 years old, his mother brought him back to Korea (from Paris, where he was born) and took on a new assignment, I believe (Tunisia?). ML's father begged her to stay and couldn't understand why she didn't want to be a family for Seung-hyo, but she chose her career over family. Perhaps I'm wrong, but I thought she wanted Seung-hyo to forgive her for essentially abandoning him as a toddler.

But perhaps there is something completely different

Where is this from? Like he's texting? Who? Do you have any context?
I finally was able to watch last night the sub version. My understanding was the Seung-hyo was in New York (he received some sort of award at one time for a building in New York?). Meeum called him and said while you are in the USA, you could go to California and see Seok=ryu. At that point, he was walking towards her in California, but pretended to Meum that he was still in New York. At least, that's how I saw it.

pre-release is usually 8:00 am KST. Sometimes on Friday (KST), but I just check and nothing, so probably 8:00 am Saturday KST. (Which is late afternoon Friday in the USA)

Seems to me like the people who loved Queen of Tears aren't fond of this drama, and those who didn't like QOT…
I love them both because both have (1) great cast, (2) terrific leads who can ACT, (3) great writing, and (4) great directors.

One is a roller-coaster ride (QOT) and one is charming family/neighborhood full of different types of love (LND).
