So was it worth it? I have been waiting for this to finish before I start watching, and reading the comments I don't know if I should start or not. I'm okay with the ending as long as the ride until then has not only downs but also ups, big emotions, interesting content - however I get easily bored with subplots where the mains are just running around solving small problems that have nothing to with the big plot, usually this happens during the mortal arc. Should I watch this?

Yes, especially those last six eps have other peoplw trying to break the couple up. Until then it wasn’t that bad. But the leads like only each other.

What is the relationship between this drama and the one marked as parentstory, Twenty? Should I watch the other one first?

First 18 eps were okay, full of tropes but entertaining. Then I had to start skipping to make it through the rest of the drama.

The sister and the husband have totally platonic relationship, and the husband is not the ML, if that helps :)

Was there something wrong with Veronica's old name, the Korean one? Does it mean something? She seemed to really hate people using it.

I liked this drama, there were so many entertaining scenes, but the female lead's character is definitely a problem. I especially cringe when in one scene the young girl's mother says to the ML something like "Tong Nian's parents raised her right, she is just as a girl/woman is supposed to be"...

This is his real voice? Wow, I did not know that. It does make me feel better about it. I love angst and heavy plots, but also enjoy many comedies - and then just do not enjoy others. Sometimes it's hard to understand even for myself why. Like I love Dear Herbal Lord and keep putting General's Lady on hold, even though both are very similar genres and General's Lady has much higher score on MDL.

Thank you everyone! It might be that this is not my type of drama, but some of my favorite xianxia have had boring subplots and then after that become great and I would have missed a lot had I dropped, so I want to make sure I'm not missing something like that.

Seriously thinking about dropping this. The beginning was good, but now I'm in ep 13 (fire-caveman) and everything has been stupid and boring for a while. Did anyone else feel like this at this point and does it get better? Also ML's voice does not fit him at all and it keeps bothering me.

SPOILER don't read if you don't want to be spoiled, but the lovely elder brother is luckily not evil. It was a joy to see, wish they would have had more scenes with him.

Well wasn't this almost the best thing ever! Every minute well used. I gave it 9,5 just because I need make sure it makes me come back for several rewatches before I give 10 to something.

I have watched telenovelas, so I know some dramas are not meant to be questioned, only enjoyed. Like this one. I had a fun couple of hour watching this, all eps in one sitting.

Yes the Asian fan culture seems crazy. I wonder if those fans watch these series and realize they are the bad guys.

The synopsis sounds very much like kdrama Crazy Love. Is it the same story or just happens to be similar?

Her character is a nice and supportive friend, but very basic and does not do much interesting things. I recommend you watch this anyway, I just finished it in two days :)
