i too feel bad for him right person wrong time. It was just misunderstandings which made them have no choice for…
It seems to me that you are saying that Zhuang Xu and Xi Guang should have sat down and cleared up the misunderstandings. That implies that both sides misunderstood the situation. In reality it was only Zhuang Xu who had the misunderstanding and it was his responsibility to clear things up.

I will repeat what I wrote a few days ago: "The congee I had this morning had more spine than he has."

I am afraid that I cannot agree with that assessment of Zhuang Xu. Many of us were born into families that were no financially well off, but for most of us it never stopped us living our lives to its fullest. Both of my parents left school at the age of 15, without any qualifications. However, I have an M.B.A., and have lived and worked on three continents.

You wrote "Rong even said that FL had spread around that she gave him money for his mother's treatment". Rong could only known about the money from one of two sources: Zhuang Xu or Xi Guang. Everything we have seen so far indicates that Xi Guang would not have told anyone, except for her cousin because she had to borrow 800 yuan from him. So, it would seem that Zhuang Xu was the source, which leads to the question "Why would he tell anyone about receiving such a large amount of money from someone?"

You note that "Rong kept feeding him lies about FL". Why did he believe her and not the person who "proposed" to him?

Finally, you wrote "as of now he is being decent and not acting like a psycho SML". Unless I am totally mistaken, it was his suggestion for the company group to go to the same ski resort that he had heard Xi Guang was going to. Whilst not stalker level, it is more than a little creepy, in my opinion.

I have been rewatching the series and have suddenly realized (at ep 13) how much SML actually hurt FL. He humiliated…
I would a little further than "learning to fall in love again". I see this story as being about learning to trust someone and to trust yourself. Ultimately, a relationship is built on both love and trust, and it is doomed if either is not there or is lost.

Having watch ep 19, I am going to try and resist the urge to watch ep 20 tomorrow. Then, I can watch it, along with 21 and 22, on Thursday.

I loved today's episode, especially the interplay between Xi Guang, Jia Qi, and Yu Sen. It came across as very natural and free-flowing. The fact that Jia Qi tried to provide "dating" advice when he has zero experience himself is exactly the sort of thing that close siblings (cousins, in this case) do.

And the relaxed attitude of the adults is so refreshing to see, in comparison to the usual domineering ones usually seen in other dramas. We briefly saw the usual attitude when Xi Guang's father was praised for listening to his wife and avoiding a bad investment. That clearly annoyed him. The discussion between the two mothers was lovely, and I wonder if we will see Xi Guang's mother get back into business?

If you go to iQIYI, you can see the previews without having to sign up. To watch the actual episodes, you have to join.

Feel free. I must add that to many of the inhabitants of the U.K,, cuisine is a French or Italian swear word.

Perhaps I am the exception that proves the rule. I was born and raised in London, and can assure you that the food in Hong Kong's dai pai dong's made me forget English food very quickly, when I moved there.

I have not seen the previews, so I will rely on what is written here and will watch the episode to see how it plays out.

However, I wonder if she was mad at the situation rather than at Yusen. Did her worry and fear get expressed in both the wrong way and at the wrong target? It is "easier" to get angry at a person rather than a situation that could not be controlled.

It's a very nice drama and will be happy if ML and FL finally get together, but I also feel sorry for the SML.…
Sorry, but I am with SkySphere here, I feel no sympathy towards Zhuang Xu. XiGuang outright told him that she liked him and was going wait for him. His response was to make like a Terracotta soldier, with the same frozen expression.

To be honest, I have never met someone (male or female) who does not act pretty quickly on "deep longing and devotion". If he truly longed for and was devoted to her, then he would have taken the first step towards her.

The early episodes are definitely not reflective of the later ones. I realise that the background to XiGuang's situation (especially with Zhuang Xu) needed to be shown and "explained". However, it was a bit too much, in my opinion.

It is possible (probable) that the 1 episode per day is because of the platform's greed, as @Krish728 noted. However,…
Apologies, I think I confused you a bit by not be clearer. I do not know what is next in the schedule. So, I was referring to a programme in a general sense rather than a specific one.

My comment was based on the thought that Tencent might want to boost the viewership by starting the new programme on Friday, instead of on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday.

the green screen London Bridge is sending me xD
As a born and raised Londoner, I must clarify that the green screen scene was of Westminster Bridge and the Houses of Parliament. They were "standing" on the Southbank, Lambeth side of the Thames.

It is possible (probable) that the 1 episode per day is because of the platform's greed, as @Krish728 noted.

However, I wonder if an additional part of the reason is to ensure the next programme starts on a Friday. It seems that the schedule reverts back to 2 episodes per day starting on Thursday. If that continues, the show will end on Thursday, Jan 8, if it is 36 episodes long.

From what I've read from other commenters XG doesn't pay the father or the mistress's daughter any mind, thank…
Thanks for the clarification. I thought that the parents had divorced and that he had married the mistress. Does that mean the daughter is her half-sister?

Two reasons why I fear future interference is
(a) several commentators have speculated that the daughter was the woman YuSen was going to have a blind date with when he had the accident. Hopefully, she does not enter the storyline as a wrench in the works; and
(b) Her father's company is the largest single shareholder for the PV company, so will he try to interfere with XiGuang's position there?

Aren’t you playing attention? Zhuang Xu has definitely move on. He told his coworker, that there was no history…
We will have to agree to disagree.

Technically, it is true that there is no history between them, but he could easily have said, we were in the same college. Instead, he said that he had never even spoken to her. His colleague did not believe him. He did not help his credibility by saying she had a boyfriend. That is not a piece of information you know about someone you are saying is essentially a stranger.

As for his discussion with his brother, his comment, after saying she has a boyfriend, was "So how am I supposed to fight for her?" That does not suggest that he has moved on.

Having watched episodes 16 and 17, I have one observation to make and one (minor) correction to an earlier "thing I like" statement I made.

Early on, many people called Zhuang Xu a "walking" red flag. In my opinion, he is not even worthy of that status. He is pathetically spineless. A true red flag would have some level of spine. To be honest, the congee I made this morning had more spine than he has.

Earlier, I wrote that I liked the absence of the obnoxious family members trying to boss the lead characters to take over the family business and/or marry the person they decided. Unfortunately, along comes XiGuang's father to tell her that
(a) she should not be a mere employee;
(b) he would find her management position at his company;
(c) the PV industry is a "losing" industry (explains why he has not provided the funds); and
(d) that she should look to settle down ( i.e., marry) as she is nearly 23! [

I fear that we will see more interference from her father and more negative involvement from her step-sister.

After watching Episode 17: It's getting better and better, I think some genius mind wrote the dialogues and humor…
I really loved the scenes with XiGuang and her grandparents and those with her mother, uncle, aunt, and cousin. They were all perfect examples of how families who know, love, and are comfortable with each other truly act when together. Clearly the writers and producers put together excellent scripts, but the actors rose to the occasion.

l want the SML to suffer about his loss of the FL, he doesn’t deserve to be happy before he’s learnt his lesson.…
"l think she’s over him [SML]. She just probably feels awkward to see him again especially after their last meeting."

I agree. As for her feeling awkward, who can blame her given the fact that he stares at her with a pathetically blank face.
