I don’t understand why everyone is saying YJ is creepy. Ok, his character suppose to be cold and borderline Autism. But isn’t most Kdrama male lead was written in such a ‘creepy’ way? Kim Tan in The Heir is very much a stalker and forced himself into Cha Eun Sang’s heart. Do Min Joon in My Love from Another Star stalks SongYi for centuries, even after she reincarnated. How is that not creepy? Ohh and Healer, blind folded kissed by a stranger, creepy much? And that guy basically can tap into all your communication device and knows your every moves. Nice soundtracks covers all the creepiness. And for Jung they play some eerie creepy background music, so that makes him looks like the boogeyman. For me, he is an awkward character, so the love line is awkward too but not creepy as everyone said.

I like posts like this one. I, myself, have a few popular dramas on my UGHlist but before I get to them, I need…
Wow, I love reading your comments more than this article actually. Haha. Kudos for your elaborated explanation on why you dislike the popular dramas. For me, I come to kdramaland because of the cliche-ness. All those poor innocent girl rich chaebol shit. Good looking sugar candies and unrealistic romance. Haha. If I want fantasy, adventure or crime, Kdrama certainly is not my place to go (I have my list of English/American dramas for those).
I do agree with Boys Over Flower and Playful Kiss. As much as I enjoy the cliche-ness of kdrama, I can not go on a drama if I hate the lead actress. And in both cases, both are horrifying annoying. I could finished The Heir and Heartstring, I don't expect exciting storyline, but the simple love story were kinda cute there. And great OST did save both drama's ass a lot.

This drama is so enjoyable I love it, but really the ending, I just don't like it at all. Seriously.
honestly, I forgot about the ending. I think it's not that great and not that bad either (that's why it's not etched in my head). I remember most of the ghost's story but not the OTP's story. It is a slightly over-rated drama.

Just starting to watch this but I think Kim So Yeon is a bit old for Jung Kyung Ho, because he still looks very boyish despite being 32 and So Yeon looks a bit mature for her age. I was thinking, if they wanted an experienced actress that's pass 30s for this drama, why not Jang Na Ra, and then hey..there is One More Happy Ending. LOL.

Kind of boring. I don't understand all the hype.
Yes, honestly this drama is kinda boring. Because it's all about lifestyle, about friendship, family, a tad too close to reality. There's no night delivery guy that jumps from building to building, there's no hot alien, no split personalities, or good looking doctors that has impeccable skills. So it's kinda hard for everyone to really fall in love with such a 'normal' drama. But for me, it is my favourite drama of 2015, all the little details and stories in this drama really grows on me. It's not love at first sight, but in the end, I'm head over heels. :)

i cried so much at the last ep that my head and eyes are hurting like cray... i will miss them so bad. the ending…
Yes, it was sad to say goodbye to the neighbourhood. That for me, was the saddest part. Who doesn't end up with who is the least of a problem here.

I'm so sick of seeing young girls born in the late 90s paired up with such older men it's creepy and gross on…
Maybe in this drama Masataka is playing a 20 years old character? They always do in dramas.

Agree with @oyaaaji It's not that the guy is too old. Its the girl that is too young. LOL

Some times it's very unfair for drama that came very late, like Reply 1988. Not many watch it soon enough to vote. Me for example, vote before I start to watch Reply 1988. And if only I watch Reply 1988 earlier, I will definitely give it my vote!

I do agree. KMHM has the better OST there. Hallucination is the best song I've heard so far.

I dont know Mina, when I was 18, I don't think I know how to love anyone romantically. It's a fine line between liking your bestfriend and loving someone. At 18, we don't think or see someone sexually or romantically (saying this because I grow up from Asia country and in 1988, we are still very conservative :p ).

The only reason I didn't give that drama a 10 is because she didn't keep her son in the end, that's all I wanted...
Opps, sorry. Done.

I'm sooo sad, this was my fav drama of 2015, but I wasn't expecting this ending at all. I liked Taek a lot but…
Yes, I am very sad on that part too. If only they give a proper closure for JH, this drama will be perfect 10/10. At least give him a mention, like how they mentioned Jung Bong got married and became a successful chef. Aigoo, I'm so worry for JH.

Honestly, if you think about it, this drama is not just about romance love. It is also about friendship. You can't say DS never liked Sun Woo or Jung Pal. In that group of 5, they liked each other. Even the bromance are strong.

I was so devastated that I couldn't watch any good drama in 2015 (I like Kill Me Heal Me, but I was flashback overdosed) and towards the end of the year, I started to watch Reply1988 and was so happy to end my kdrama year 2015 and started 2016 with a blast. I don't know why everyone is unhappy with the ending in Reply1988 (and even started a petition to change it. seriously?). Much like School 2015, fans are divided into two OTP teams. Nobody dies, no separation, everyone are still good friends in the end. Isn't this the best ending ever? That is life, that is youth right at your face. Deal with it, there's no remake or rewind of our lost youth. That is why the title, Answer Me/Reply, youth. Because there are too many 'what ifs' that you will wonder but never will find out. Such a beautiful drama. Definitely my favourite for 2015 and 2016 (maybe?).

it would make sense if Dong ryong was THE husband more than this ending I mean if they wanted to surprise us THAT…
Yes. I agree. I'm happy for them too but I wish the adult husband behaves more like the young version. He is always a collected and expressionless person even since he's a kid, what make him change and behaves and talk like that when he is in his 40s? Even the way he sits is SO wrong! It just doesn't make sense there.

I am on neither team. I love both Jung Hwan and Taek. It's so hard for me to choose. Lucky for DS she never has to choose. It's never really a love triangle to start with.
But I'm just disappointed with the lack of proper closure for Jung Hwan. They never even mention anything about him. They even mentioned Jung Bong became a successful chef and got married with Man Ok. I keep thinking that he might end up alone forever. T_T
For those on #teamjunghwan, do not be despair. Everyone has a guy like JungHwan in our life. Someone you really like (or have a crush on) when you were young. He probably likes you a lot too, but the timing was never right. And then someone else came along.
Watching this drama really makes me look back at my youth, think about that lost opportunities, all the what ifs. But we will never know.
Awesome drama.

Her son already found a mother, that could loves him and provide to him as a real mother. That is a happy ending for his son. It will be cruel and devastating to take away his son happiness, just because she is the real mother and she wants to be with him. That is a very beautiful ending for me. Love is selfless. :)

I like Park Hae Jin's character styling here. If he was like this in My Love From The Star, I will he having cronic second lead syndrome! If Park Hae Jin starts following me around, I will gladly leap into his arms. What's wrong with this girl? Lol.
