You are not the only one! I have appreciated her character and how well it complements with the ML especially during these break up episodes and in the present. It’s like she understands the ML better

I never said ML was right but he had the worst circumstances . They are both flawed but it was always obvious that he invested more in the relationship than her . When someone hits rock bottom like the ML character did - there will be no rational decisions . But she never stepped up. This is my two cents the way I see it that’s all

No I actually want him to do more diverse roles . I actually like the fact that his role is the polar opposite to L&P. And you are wrong . I like Sabrina Zhuang too - she actually plays darker roles well. And I can guarantee that their conflict in the 2nd half of the drama will be interesting because of that . Having said that L&P was on a different level and it will be hard to come by anything like that again for a long time. But then weren’t you the one who started this comparison here ?

I need to see growth on both sides if they end up together! Especially on her side and he needs to be tougher and not give in easily as far as she is concerned . You can see that he is pissed with her too because she did not even try to find out anything. She just firmly shut the door and disappeared . Why should the ML have looked for her while trying to rebuild his life? With the FL’s personality , would it really have worked if he had come clean and asked for time to work on it? She had her own financial goals and ambitions- who was he to hold her back? But the fact that she did not even try to find out still jars . And yes the FL was not fit for a relationship at that stage. He was carrying it all on his shoulders and he decided to put it down when he was struggling. I don’t blame him at all

Yes I agree. She is back to destroy him. But even in real life there are people who hold meaningless grudges for a long time because they have not tried to understand what really happened . It’s like they are blind as far as that person is concerned.

She basically told him she did not want to see him anymore - so what keeping in touch??also the SML confirmed that they were still married. Also what would the ML accomplish- did all his problems just magically disappear for him to go back to her. Sometimes going back yo someone after a nasty breakup is not easy.

We can’t say the ML lied- that is too strong of a word- because he was faced with some shitty choices there. I think on his part he just gave up thinking what’s the point of explaining and maybe he did not even try - he was so down- hit rock bottom . I am not saying that it is right or wrong. But putting yourself in his shoes it was probably the worst time. And people don’t think rationally. But yes the FL never cared enough. That much is evident

I don’t know to me it felt the FL did not try enough to really figure out what happened . She just went back and got into her work, got sick , impulsively decided to marry Feng Sheng. The point is GY was not himself, he was struggling and she did even stop for a minute to say something was off. How could she just assume the he cheated after how devoted he was to her ? Their bond was not strong enough - it really comes down to that. And the circumstances were really awful.

I feel the same actually . I have actually appreciated XCX’s character more and how she and the ML balance each other out better. The FL is a little too self absorbed.

Yes as I am watching ep 17 especially after she made the dumb decision to marry Feng Sheng and wondering if there is any turning back for them . And you are right, even if he had told her, it would not have made a difference. this break up was imminent. And yes he really cared about her and cherished her . But it looks like she dismissed all of that as though it was nothing. She did not even bother to try to find out or understand what was happening . There would have been no second chance for this relationship. Over and done.
