Her marrying Feng Sheng is the dumbest decision ever. She just had the worst break up and she is immediately marrying someone else? I guess though, in a way, it agrees with the FL’s overall character. Also were the ML’s troubles such a huge secret that she could not find out at all from anyone else

You know in ep 17 he imagines her taking care of him and offering him comfort- I cannot see her character doing something like that in reality.

Completely agree- FL is lacks maturity . I felt like even the SFL cared more for him and she does understand her boundaries. She has accepted that the ML does not love her. There were a couple of instances where I really liked what the SFL did - one when she told the ML about FL subletting the apartment. And 2 when she tried to persuade the ML to go after the FL. FL definitely not fit to be in a relationship - nothing wrong with that.

Given how she thought the ML was cheating , I don’t think she ever understood him. Lol. I understand that she is upset with the break up but to think that? I don’t think she even trusted him enough . This was rock bottom for her too

So what everyone is saying here is that while his entire life is blowing up in front him, he needs to think/care about how he is breaking up with her. Do y’all really think he had the bandwidth for that? On top of the financial mess, getting beaten up, his dad pressing false charges on him and his mother in a coma he needs to think about her - that is a tall order ! They were both truly in a different world- his life was taking a big downswing while hers was on the upswing . There was nothing he could have promised / offered her at that time. So cut the ML some slack. And she never once asked him the right questions -even when he tried to say something she brushed it off. Also is there a guarantee that the FL would understand and support him through this? Everyone is different but sometimes it’s better to let go of someone in situations like this. This is not noble idiocy, not cowardice. It is a practical decision

I am watching ep 16 and the ML is literally sad and crying on that video call and she could not even figure out that there was something wrong with him. People can defend the FL if they want but this is what I see. The FL always sees the ML as this rich, carefree brat . In her mind he will not have problems with money or debt collectors or anything like that. But if your boyfriend looks and sounds depressed and in tears you will try to find out why . just the plain fact that he did not pick up her phone call immediately, which is very rare in his case, should have raised an alarm. It does not matter whether he says it out loud but you probe. If you love someone that is what you do. She seemed to be in her lala land about her bonus etc. To me it seems like their view of being in a relationship is very different. He puts her first always while for her that is not the case. Yes she has her struggles but he always did more to keep her happy and feel secure. For example when they were traveling extensively he made the effort to go see her. He makes sure that the relationship stays strong . So I am not going to fault him for falling apart right now because of all that pressure - the amount of money he owes is staggering, his mom is in a coma and his dad is a criminal. He has a lot on the plate. But the FL can be flawed- I don’t want her to be perfect - but she can care a little bit more. Again there is that imbalance and I find the FL to just be superficially affectionate that’s all. Sometimes people need to get that feeling from a partner that they can confide anything and everything with them especially something as serious as this but GY maybe did not get that vibe from DZT.

Well said . I have seen worse FL characters and couple dynamics in cdrama world and those dramas got higher ratings than this.
