So looks like we have another boundary less character in Xu Chenxi. Just started ep 10. Also I know everyone here loves Song Mingmei but I find her a bit over the top and her behavior towards that teacher is a bit inappropriate. And if that turns into a relationship I won’t be shipping it. The chemistry does feel different from L&P because the story is very different. Chen Feiyu’s character is different and the FL character is different. What is this comparison? Why do we need him to be typecast? And also need a similar story again? I hope people watch it for what it is rather than compare it with L&P.

Agreed. They have really fleshed out their personalities well . And I can totally see her get pissed off because he paid off the debts and going to that extreme to hurt him . Yes I am waiting for this to play out and I fell like it is going to get more intense

Yeah she is definitely complex and a bit toxic . I would like to see their dynamics in the present. This is not a simple love story at all. Gan Yang does not give up but it’s not like he put his life on hold and and just revolves around the FL and I like that about him.

Yep Gan Yang is totally the opposite of Li Xun. A ray of sunshine, very content with his life and loves himself :)

Yep he definitely thinks she is married in the present . And if that creep Feng Sheng made something like that up I would not be surprised. But also with her insecure character if she made it up herself. We already see how upset she gets with little things. She does not try to even sort it out with him. Plus she hides things from the ML. And yes I love Gan Yang’s character. Very well written.

I do see some red flags in her now that I am watching ep 7. The primary one being how ambiguous she is with the ML and SML .

Yeah she should not have left like that . But it agreed with her character . She is a very insecure person. Plus yes she does not trust the ML. I would not be surprised if all of this adds to the break up that happens later. It seems like the new girl could read her like a book. Also the ML should be more worried about Feng Teng rather than her worrying about some girl chasing him. He is way more devoted than she is

Ok I am watching ep 7. Why does the ML’s friend talk about his plans to confess in front of that strange new girl he hardly knows ? I really find that a little strange .

I am not surprised at all. Let’s see how much of it translates into the drama because this actress can pull off that role beautifully and it will be more interesting . I can never see her in a ‘plain, sweet, happy girl’ role. At the same time, I wish they had given the ML more dimensions to his character.
