Episode 14 shows that the MLis always afraid that she is going to leave him. also when he proposes out of the blue even though he knows it’s too early. It’s all foreboding the future

That cousin of hers creeped me out. She has really surrounded herself with some characters

I don’t think the director tried to get the best visuals of them either. They are both very intense actors from everything else I have watched of them. They have range that was not captured at all

In the trailer on Viki though there is someone else pursuing her aggressively in the present . That I guess is the boss who falls for her. It looks like he is very possessive of her

Well we don’t know if they will capture all of this from the book. In general the FL was not as invested in the relationship as the ML . Until we watch the present episodes we can’t make assumptions . I am watching this drama with an open mind. I think they have portrayed their personalities and the relationship issues that arise because of that very well.

It is very clear that their life priorities are very different

No I don’t want them to forget Li Xun from L&P. It is such an iconic character and a L&P was a beautiful drama, that I have also watched multiple times and will watch again. But I do want Arthur Chen to shine in other roles that are differ t from Li Xun

The FL’s acting is good . If you think about it the character she is playing is a very lukewarm person for whom relationships are not a priority. She has other things that she focuses more on . So her being more passionate than this would have been unrealistic. I think they are showing that imbalance between the both as far as their investment in the relationship is concerned very well. She has done a great job portraying that aspect

Yep I feel the same I am glad that mold of L&P is being broken.

I have seen a lot worse MLs and the irritating part is is that these same viewers rated those dramas higher. I don’t think the ML is that bad here . But I agree - this is not female empowerment at all. In fact it is an insult to women

I am liking this drama so far too. Their relationship issues are realistic
