There is a definitely a lack of respect and caring on her part. She basically dismisses him just because he has money. That is not right . I can see why he would break up with her when his family goes bankrupt - it all makes sense now that I am watching the story. It would have been very hard for them to be in a relationship in those circumstances especially given who they both are

The FL’s attitude is getting a little annoying if she is going to return every penny he spends on her then that is nuts. As for the apartment she should have spent a little more and gotten a small apartment just for themselves or she could have pitched in 50% for the one he rented . There are ways to work things out if she wants to but her being stubborn about keeping finances that separate when in a relationship is unrealistic. She is going to make him feel inadequate by doing so. No wonder he will feel like she is pushing him away. I can see this issue blowing up big between them. And she is asking him to sublet it? Really?

Yes in reality reconciling with her kind of character will never happen. And even if the reconciliation happens it will not last long

Actually that story arc for her is not surprising given the way she is

Both Fireworks of my heart and Go back loved portrayed unhealthy relationships and the couple had multiple issues . Of these two the Firworks of the heart really delved deep in to abuse , abandonment and mental illness . And they did a pretty good job. I actually liked how they highlighted the issues that both the ML and the FL had. The thing Go back Lover did wrong was to glorify an unearthly relationship that they forcing on us and saying it can last when it was so fragile.
Only for love was just quirky, funny and smart . You just enjoyed it that’s all

I have to say few things here .
1. The ML does not like XC but has not set boundaries
2. The FL is so insecure that she always ends up not trusting the ML
3. The second leads never back off . I don’t know why but no one seems to respect boundaries in these dramas and most misunderstandings are due to that

Well I actually liked Only for Love and Fireworks of my Heart. I have got a crush on you was plain awful. Go back lover was really bad . And I have a few others that I just could not stand

I think it will be more than that .probably interference from 2nd leads and also FL’s insecurity . Money will be a factor but that is not all.

I just watched the trailer on Viki and I think the second half of this drama i.e the present arc is going to be really intense and good. I don’t think they are sugarcoating the FL here - she is who she is. I am glad for that.

L&P is unique that way. The balance was there in the romance and both cared for each other in different ways. And to date for me that is the strongest and best portrayal of a FL. She was an admirable character . Yeah I dropped TFF just could not get into it. That was the most abnormal relationship I have seen and I had other issues with the story and premise of the that drama. I am not delving into the details lest I get slammed because that forum was crazy. There have been a few others where I was scratching my head thinking how can this realistically work. It’s ok to make the female complicated and extremely flawed but the audience thinks they should be forgiven no matter what they’ do but not so for the ML

Making him sleep on the floor with mice running around was a bit much. I don’t know why she had to do that.

Why is the writing bad? I don’t get this ? There are worst dramas than this that got a much higher rating than this😂- romances and characters that made no sense. People are being very harsh- well I don’t care, I am going to finish this one. And I still think it’s an 8.5. No student behaves like Song Mingmei. At least I have not encountered any. I just don’t like her character .

Her behavior is over the top and abnormal
Comparing this drama with L&P is like comparing apples and oranges . Here it’s worse- they are comparing it to a masterpiece which was at a different level and then they are putting this drama down which is completely unfair. Dramas like L&P are very rare . And Arthur Chen needs to play different characters to develop himself . I think he is doing great here and I am glad he picked something g totally different t from L&P

Yes Mingmei has a child in the present but they have not shown the dad. If it is the teacher I am going to explode. I am catching up on the episodes today. I feel like multiple things will lead to the breakup between the leads. A series of misunderstandings and differences . Her in the wedding dress might have been the last straw.
