ā€œDrinksā€ are like a table charge. It’s basically cash. They don’t actually drink them. It’s a unit of value. They might put a bottle on the table, and allocate hosts, space, and table service. You can bet the cost to provide all that is wall below the cost of 1000 ā€œdrinksā€.

Bad dubbing is what the target audience expects, and is used to, I think. I don’t know if it will help you, but I turn the sound right down when I watch Chinese dramas, so the dubbing isn’t so in your face. It definitely improves the experience for me.

I’m having trouble getting into this. The slapstick style acting/direction is the problem. Do you guys think I should persist, given that I really like the cast, or do you think the cartoonishness will persist?

Title Fourever You Part 2 Spoiler
Good casting of Golf and Earth as twins. They do look very similar but still different, like fraternal twins would. And…
I agree about the casting. They’re plausible fraternal twins.

About the house, for someone like me, who experiences sensory overwhelm, darkly coloured spaces are really restful, but it’s also not a common taste. I think most people prefer bright and airy. In this instance I think it’s meant to represent the darkness of Suea’s mafioso relations. having gangsters for father and brother when you don’t like gangs is clearly the source of his pain. The contrast between the mafioso home and the kind and warm twin twins’ household is striking, even more so because the colours match the vibes of each family.

She’s great. This is the meatiest role I’ve seen her in, so hopefully we get more like this.

this series may be look comedic and romantic in a surface level, but the subcontext is too deep and heavy af :///
And frighteningly current. When I think about that Chinese actor who got trafficked into a Myanmar scam centre recently I get the heebies.

Rose don't be a creepazoid! What was that??šŸ˜‚šŸ˜·
She’s winging for him, and enjoying the show while she’s at it. Call it killing two birds with one stone. I suspect she watches BL in her pyjamas on her downtime… ā¤ļø

why nobody gave a rating to our boys for the series?
I’m not convinced about this series. I like the cast, but I’m not a fan of the direction so far. I’m reserving judgment until I’ve seen more šŸ™ƒ

I’m watching this on Viu. I really enjoyed the first episode. Both leads have full agency, which I think is too rare in BL, which loves the knave in distress trope. I’m looking forward to the next episode. Is this based on a novel? If so is there an English translation available?

Complaints come from people’s opinions of the series. They’re as legitimate as your own opinions. If you don’t…
It’s not dumb. It’s helpful to those who haven’t seen it to get a range of opinions. Also, posting criticism doesn’t necessarily mean you hate a series. It means you feel the flaws should be discussed. I think if only people who don’t criticuse a series posted the comments wouldn’t be worth reading for many of us, who want to know both the good and the bad.

He is mediocre from where I’m sitting. that means aversge, or as good as most people. It doesn’t mean bad šŸ™ƒ
