A very enjoyable watch with a very satisfying and complete ending for all. FL was perfect for the role playing both a tough, strong and comedic role. I thought the character growth for all the main and secondary characters was well developed and excellent. One of the best I’ve seen. I will miss this one. The last episode was great.
I’m getting the sense that TaeSeop isn’t really over his last relationship and is just looking for a wife. He never looked at her with true interest or a spark. Maybe that’s just the character he’s portraying but if he really felt something he would have contacted her a lot sooner. JiSo definitely gave the impression that he had some initial feelings of wanting to see her again. After 2 episodes I’m team JiSo although I’m sure that can change over the course of the next 10 episodes. Also I can’t stop thinking about the horrible character he played in Queen of Tears. He’s so different here!
I can’t help but notice the similarities with another recent weekend drama, For Eagle Brothers which also had an ill fated relationship with another family. It’s also funny because the uncle in this one was also one of the brothers in FEB. I wonder how long these two families will keep up their feud or if they will ever reconcile. I really can’t see the path to reconciliation though. With 40 episodes to go I’m sure there’s a lot more drama between them to come.
Everybody who has watched like 5 kdramas already saw dad being bad miles away so it really isn't that shocking…
I do get your point. However, the ML suffers from the trauma he experienced as a child. He was abandoned and never felt the acceptance and love that a child should get. His brother thought he was protecting him and when he finally appeared in his life it was too late. FL had the support of a wonderful sister and brother in law but has her own insecurities. I actually like the SML and feel he is truly sincere in his intentions. He is even very supportive of her raising her adorable nephew. I think either man would be a good choice depending on her preference. I do lean a bit more towards ML since he is the biological uncle and this is the first time he has had a sense of family. Perhaps this is why he has fallen for her. The SML seems more emotionally mature unless there is a back story yet to be revealed. I’m really torn on this one where it’s usually a no brainier as to who the FL should end up with. Sorry for rambling on but this one has me stumped.
This show came up on my feed so i thought I’d read the reviews. i am definitely skipping this one. It seems to be a unanimous opinion to stay away. I appreciate all the people who took the time to explain why to avoid this one.
I think in the next episode they will lose Woo Joo and he will get place in either a care faclity or something…
I was thinking the same thing as you. I don’t trust his father. On the day his brother died he was calling to warn him about the father being released from prison.
I actually like this show. It fulfills the slot for my mindless rom com along with more the stressful show that I’m watching. The baby alone is worth watching it. I love every scene that he is in! I hope to see more of him in the future.
I agree with your review, but I got the impression that now that HN is back he and JW can start their lives together. At least that’s what I want to believe. Yes, I was not happy about YC being unremorseful and seeming to have a happy situation. I find it frustrating when I have watched 100 episodes and they can’t connect all the dots at the end and leave it up to our imagination. It was one of the better daily dramas though.
Yes, you are probably right. I was actually thinking that when the policeman spoke with her for all the gossip about the residents. She’s definitely too young for the uncle.
