I mean there are several options. Like her needing to be there in the first place because they need servers makes no sense when they have guest for not even a full dining table and they already have personal workers and servers at home. Only reason them being there would make sense if it was done as I previously said power play from someone from ML family as demeaning act to show her as outsider and helper and not someone who belongs in the family and for her to see ML with potential fiance. Another reason for FL team to be there is as flex to show guests are important and they brought their best workers there to show it.

Either of these makes reasoning for this to happen better but then why does this need to happen in the first place ? Well it needs to happen because romcom formula says you need to introduce something that will test the relationship and leads need to overcome the test so viewers feels satisfaction and affirmation that their relationship is good and strong because there was a challange and they passed the test.

This is stereotypically done with side leads that are often potrayed very well so when leads don't pick them viewers feel like wow they were tested by this rich side lead that is ideal but stayed true. Now I personally do not like triangles and all that but sometimes they create fun jealousy scenes and/or give push to relationship. Jealousy was used when this girl you see at the table with ML was first introduced when she celebrated her birthday and FL got jealous. They worked on it and it got resolved but now on episode 12/13 they bring it back. Why ? It was already resolved and we got fun jealousy cliché stuff.

Writters reintroduced and forced the same "test" again in a different setting and it was resolved the same way in the same episode. It was pointless because we all know she is not even the side lead and won't get picked. Even side leads with 30% screen time dedicated don't get picked.

So why reintroduce her at the end of episode 12 if then in next episode drama gets resolved, she is not potential love interest, it wasn't done by family to make FL feal inferior or challanged and wasn't done as power play. Why reintroduce pointless side character we forgot about that was there for 1 episode ?

Answer is simple. Shock value for episode 12 cliffhanger and good preview material for episode 13 so viewers tune in next week.

It gets resolved in same episode and bears no meaning to the overall plot and doesn't introduce new element because jealousy thing and "test" was done on birthday episode. Its pointless lazy writting and done to bait viewers to watch next episode.

Yes she says that and it can be seen as commentary the show is trying to potray as overall plot but the situation created was still artificial and created conveniently because writters needed to put her there. Both things can be true but just because that commentary was made doesn't mean that the way writters got her there wasn't done badly and nonsensical and was only done as shortcut to get the FL in situation to make such commentary or see another girl with ML.

Basically her commentary doesn't absolve nonse of her artificially being placed in such situation in the first place.

I mean sure this kdrama panders workers for injustice companies do to workers. Considering viewer base it's smart thing to do and it's kinda overall plot with ML vs Sister but I don't see that being the case for this scene.

Like I do not care that it was lazy writting. I watched enough episodes of this to know where to set my expectations so I am not really here to seek deep meaning, logical plot, etc.

I enjoy the chemistry and eye candy and I am fine with that because my expectations are set low. I enjoy it for those scenes and I get my entertainment out of it.

I only talked about the flaw because you pointed out the scene in the first place and gave my opinion as to why. Considering how this show was written so far I am confident it's just convenient writting done for things that need to happen to happen. I am ok with that and can look past it if it creates interesting dynamic and development after but it's still lazy writting and that's fine.

The most interesting character in this is ML sister and her inclusion makes this plot even relevant to follow and somehow grounded in reality.

Only thing I would forgive this for not being completely forced for plot to happen if someone like sister or father knew ML likes FL and did this as powerplay against her.

Wdym hate ? There is no nuance. These people have their personal servers who work at their house.

There was no need for outside servers considering dinner wasn't having a lot of guests. So whole reason to hire servers from hotel instead of their usual servers at house makes no sense. It was forced scene to create drama for FL to see other girl with ML.

Well it's more noticable here then the usual I saw but I am fairly new kdrama watcher.

Sure ads are not new but in kdramas it's too intrusive and it even changes the plot and it's what ruins many potential good kdramas.

They fall apart in 2nd half on last third. Very large amount and it gets draggy because they are forced to backlog most plot resolve in finale.

You can see in pre produced kdramas such issues are very rare so plot doesn't suffer.

I wouldn't call this drama breath of fresh air. It's cliché on the other spectrum. Only thing carrying it is leads chemistry.

It's just writters being lazy and forcing things to happen. It was obviously only done to create drama u see at the table. You expected 2 much from writters 🤣

Its bait and switch. He most likely acts like he is with her just so he can get dirt on her or let her think she is getting good info on ML. That way she doesn't hire someone else and he can kinda spy on her.

I watched this show on 1.5 - 2x speed and skipped some stuff and have low expectations from it. If I went into this watching it seriously and expecting quality portrayed from very high score I would prob be disappointed af.

The way I watched it I got entertainment out of it without much frustration and I can watch it fast after I skip / fast forward almost half episode of ads.

Considering how this show is very big on including ton of sponsored stuff in I am gonna asume they gonna shove all answers in last episode where they can get more money from the sponsors.

The thing is ML blood it's not a cure, neither is ML heart. SML will still have the curse or illness. Even if he succeed.

Immortality just makes it irrelevant and he doesn't die. That is why he needs Immortality that vampire gets. If he becomes vampire illness doesn't effect him that's it.

Well there are atleast two with almost same premise and they vary a lot in chillness. Hopefully they found the right one.

It's so convenient that he got to see that video of him doing that and then instantly asume he is a half vampire and not some other supernatural being.

I asume it has something to do with FL father. He prob couldn't afford to keep the mansion and used gold so he doesn't lose it. There was also something about neighbourhood revamp but it wasn't done because owner of mansion didn't agree. He prob had to pay someone off.

Even getting pregnant while working is looked down on.. no wonder population is in decline. Korea has many issues.

Well she only remember past lives because of the promise she made to get revange so since they went that route in the show it makes sense for her to forget past lives if curse is no longer in effect.

I think it's a nice change and she is willing to forget in order to save people she cares about and trust them enough that they will find her and include her back in their life.

Without her forgetting past lives it kinda falls flat and their is no drama or sacrifice to go off on.

I think you missed a key point of letting the past grudge go and moving on with your life.
