I think it's worth trying out. He's probably one of the more realistic teenage boy portrayals I've seen. I can remember being in his position playing video games in the middle of the night hoping my parents wouldn't check on me.
Other than the fact the title was stolen by the current emperor and Ling presumably being the last remaining son of the previous one... why exactly is Qing Chen so intent on making him emperor? You could get rid of the King and put Zhan on the throne, you could put the former Crown Prince on the throne and support him. There are options and I don't really understand the insistence that Ling be made King (and yes I did that just because it rhymed).
omg what they killed the poor couple...Da xi u moron
I thought the king would have talked them both to trick Da Xi. It would be pretty hilarious if they actually killed the 2 characters though. Because I think most of us are expecting they're both alive because the show is not serious at all...
It's the first drama in a while that felt short to me - like they could have added more episodes no problem to add more clarity and character development. I enjoyed it and I kind of like the ending even if some are frustrated.
This feels like they just tossed in every cliche from every medical drama out there.
It's rough. I thought it was being a bit dramatic with the emergency appendectomy but then I watched Episode 4... the first few minutes - I don't understand how the guy survived that. It's an aortic rupture and he's on a remote island that's likely a few hour away from the hospital. And then at the end - maybe it's the lighting or whatever but why did she amputated immediately? Did I miss something?
I know it's not a remake but this is where I appreciate Japan's "Clinic on the Sea" because I don't remember it being nearly as dramatic and over the top.
I guess the first episode was better than I expected it to be. For whatever reason I tend to nitpick any drama where medicine is a major feature. I guess when compared with all the overly dramatic and unrealistic medical dramas - this is very good by comparison. Still early days and only 1 episode though.
No janice then I'm not going to watch it. So sad I m waiting for this season 2 and now I have to dropped…
Yeah, the show was Janice Wu. Her funny expressions and interactions was the main attraction of the show in my view. She was entertaining when it felt like there was little movement on the story/plot.
A continuation with her gone seems silly and like it's bound to disappoint. I think they should have new characters for this new cast. Re-shoot some of the season 1 stuff so you can have the first 1-4 episodes be a quick summary of 'season 1' (with the new cast) to set up this new show. Keep the pregnancy and the major storyline but just add a quick backstory in the first few episodes... tons of shows do that (especially with kid actors playing the adults as kids).
It's late so maybe my memory sucks but I could have sworn the movie was mostly in English. I had no idea it was a Chinese movie... Chinese-French... never would have guessed.
I watched it because I liked time travel concepts but it's a forgettable if slightly below average story. I don't really remember any stand-out performances. The woman playing Su Lin was OK, Mark Chao was OK, the guy playing the teen wasn't as good. The story wasn't great either but I am a sucker for anything time-travel no matter what country makes it.
I mean I'm a fan of the lead actress and the supporting cast seems good... not sure about the 2 guys or the other girl listed... also not sure because it's a medical drama. The trailer looked filled with too much ridiculous drama.
This might be one of the few cases where I'll end up picking the Japanese version over the Korean version if the trailer is accurate to how the show will be.
Dramas out of Hong Kong and Japan - I find they're generally boring and devoid of emotion or the ridiculous story makes me roll my eyes. Soap operas, medical dramas and dramas with a large number of boy/girl band stars in lead roles are also ones that I'm skeptical about. Edit: I don't have a hard set criteria but I've become more skeptical of dramas that meet any of those criteria.
It's off to a slow start... assuming the introduction and description are accurate and they will be forced into situations together.
I think the male lead is taking too much heat from viewers where he and his wife should share blame. It's a marriage in trouble and I think the writers have done a decent job setting this up.
