I'm not going to say "I LOVED this movie" or "This is $##" because I think there is definitely a subtext to it that most people won't understand. It is a re-make from a 1960's film, but this one is more based on class than the other. I think there is an underlying theme of emotion through the film, but it's not shown in the obvious way, that we are used to seeing. It is an "art" film, and I say that based on the way the scenes are laid out and shot. There are scenes involving texture and foreshadowing, and it's not happy and bright. I think the director more than anything is trying to show you the emotional side of things, from the dramatic beginning to the over dramatic ending.
