I've been waiting for this drama. Watched the first 5 eps in a row as soon as they were out, astonishing. Engaging plot, good pace, fantastic acting, beautiful cinematography, expert direction and handsome people. Can't wait for tomorrow's eps.👏👏👏

Very elaborated costumes must be very elaborated to start with, there is no enhancing that can be done to inexistent features. Cheng Du Lin is definitely an A lister, Zhou Yi Ran is already considered to be going places and the 3 male support cast are top. support actors. I'm enjoying this series so far, I think it's good quality overall.

That's a Netflix bad habit, annoying as hell. They state the number of eps that will be shown in the same week as if that were the total, and then they start adding the rest as they progress. Don't take any notice of it, it's 24 eps as detailed on this page.

Judging by the very rich costumes, cast, extras and scenery it looks to me like this drama has a very comfortable budget.

Passive aggressive much? The first episode felt nothing like cheap to me at all, quite the opposite. IMO anyone who has eyes and ears will be able to tell this is a good quality series with superb acting, great cinematography, experienced direction and a generous budget.

Yes, but that's not how it was portrayed. It was shown like. the smell of fresh seafood is an unbearable stench to the point of vomiting, but you'll. get used to it if you work at the port. It makes even less sense since, after vomiting, Meng Rui Hang said he wasn't used to the smell because he'd only had seafood at restaurants in. the capital, where it would obviously not be as fresh as at the port. The whole thing is idiotic.

Ep 11, WTF was Meng Rui Hang on about seafood stinking at the port and vomiting from the smell? Was all that seafood left to rot on the quay? Fresh seafood smells really yummy, making it look like a disgusting smell is on a new scale of ignorance.

Agree, and even then she seems to have toned it down in the latest eps (currently on 8). At the beginning her mannerism, body language, facial expressions and lower tone of voice were those of a man. To me her acting style in this drama is closer to pantomime than to comedy drama. Very odd take on the character.

I'm up to ep 10 and enjoying it so far, I'll definitely keep watching. Having said that, I had to skip through the hairdresser's promotion, it dragged too long and added nothing to the plot, just filling time. I hope this is not how they made this series into 30 eps. Aside from that, I'm finding this drama very entertaining.

Agree, and there is also her reaction to it. She's an extremely assertive and confident young woman, why didn't she put Meng Ruihang in his place when he told Xing Wu he'd take care of her, as if she were a little child? The logical reaction of such character would have been to feel insulted.

One complaint: Why no episodes today, a Saturday of all days 🙄? Of course this does not take away from the quality of this series.
