Watching a fictional drama and then bitching on Weibo about the ML actor is not the display of masculinity you think it is.

Well, when the emperor sent his arrogant eunuch with a decree for the ML forcing him to marry the royal princess, his response was: "Tell the emperor if he doesn't want to sit on the throne I can easily find someone else to take his place. Seventeen years ago Wei Yan helped him onto the dragon throne. Today, I can easily pull him down". Then the ML sent the arrogant eunuch back, minus one ear he cleanly cut off when said arrogant eunuch tried to lecture him . No teeth, huh? I take it you didn't watch that episode. I rewatched that scene alone at least 5 times, simply superb. Ep 32, starting at 09:30. Magnificent performances by all actors involved.

I agree that there is no point in comparing dramas that have nothing to do with each other. I also have to call you out on your comment 'that drama severely lacking in story'; the storyline and plot development in POJ are rock solid and beautifully unrolled, much more interesting and engaging than this series, in fact. Having said that, LBTG has its own merits, I for one am enjoying it and intend to carry on watching it.

Each to their own. I think he's good. He did a great job at being torn between the two versions of Xiaoxiao and having to decide which one was true.

A Dream Within a Dream, the costumes Liu Yu Ning wore are in a league of their own. 'Stunningly beautiful' doesn't even start to make them justice, I kept rewinding just to admire them again. That was the first time I made a point of looking up the costume designer and discovered Huang Wei, the best among the best.

Then I looked up her dramas list and I realised why I had been so impressed by the costumes worn by Hou Ming Hao in Back From The Brink, they were also hers. And of course Fangs Of Fortune, Love Beyond the Grave which I'm watching right now and every other in the list that I've already watched.

I now keep an eye on her new dramas, I know the chances that they'll be good quality are high.

He doesn't look anorexic at all when he's bare chested, you can see his well developed muscles. You, on the other hand, come across as a very jealous closet gay who can only dream of looking faintly like ZLH. You fancy him, don't you? This is the only explanation for your deranged, obsessive rantings on his looks. LOL!

I'm with you. BL is a niche genre subclass that would have limited its audience. I for one would not have watched it. This particular drama did not need any type of romance of any sexual orientation, anyway.

Even the FL's parents are completely mismatched, that coupling doesn't make any sense. Her mother is an intelligent, attractive and capable woman. Her father is a dishonourable, selfish, coward, morally bankrupt boot-licker of a toad who sees her daughter as an asset he can sell for his own profit. There is no credible explanation as to why her mother would marry such a toxic man.

This drama is absurd. It stands on ridiculous premises: Being a single father means social exclusion and being looked down by everybody including friends. Being a strong headed and decisive woman means putting up with a toxic boyfriend who constantly disrespects her and won't take 'no' for an answer. It's one contradiction after another. On ep 11 and dropping it, I've had enough. Pity, because the acting is ok, it's the plot that is a massive letdown.

Disagree. Being strong headed and decisive excludes being indecisive and letting herself be disrespected and manipulated (even physically) by a toxic guy with whom she's been bored stiff for years now. Systematically breaking up with him only to get back together with him for the sole reason that he won't accept it excludes character traits such as decisiveness and strong personality.

I'm with you. Her character is not believable. Then again, most of this story isn't.

That makes an unreal character. Either she's matured and strong headed (which her character is drawn out to be) or she's trapped by family and societal conventions. Portraying her as both is not at all believable.

I usually get bitten by one or two snakes whose poison turns out to inject all xianxia superpowers in me, so nobody can steal the plant. Then I have to use the disintegration technique to get rid of the poison, which is why I go to a party first. In that way I can force out the snake poison and the hangover at once, two birds with the same stone. I'm a very practical person.

If he's an incredibly handsome and rich prince with a lovely character who's madly in love with me I'll just have to flatly refuse him, never mind how many times he saves my life. Because that's my duty as the FL.

And the stupid thing only grows on the sharp face of the cliff, so I have to climb down that sheer drop surrounded by poisonous snakes in order to reach it. But I don't want to brag.

Oh, they do. They kow-tow several times and swear lifetime loyalty to me. I still spend most of my life trekking up mountains. Furthermore, for some reason I always forget to plant the blasted flower in my back garden and be done with it. Double sigh!!
