gettin real sick of storylines where the girl has to ""become beautiful""" (i.e lose weight) before a boy will fall in love with her. lame.

Let's be honest here people. This isn't just a Korean problem. Setting beauty standards and fat shaming is a problem around the world. Just because western countries don't really produce films like this doesn't mean it's not an issue, all it means is they know how to dodge law suits. In western countries fat shaming is a tongue in cheek thing.
"oh she's so gorgeous, if she'd just dress a certain way (which baiscally means if she wore a particular something to make herself look slimmer she'd be a stunner)." All the western world has done is cloak insults with complements. Because being fat is so unslightly and we should all care how people perceive us. Even plus size models, they call them curvy but all they are are just normal healthy woman.
This subject is sooo old, I'm tired of it. It'll never change. Society is just so critical of everything even skinny girls get shamed. You can't win.

Sincerely
A Fat Girl

I have yet to find a drama based in this specific time of chinese history that does not leave me with a bitter after-taste. I can ignore the half bald men and the whole marrying many wives since that was how things were then, but seeing how women were treated like objects and had to lead an unhappy life having to share their husband with so many other women always makes me frustrated. And don’t try to say I think like this because I live in a different time. Even then women would not think that way of life was good, they just did not really have another choice.

Title Princess at Large Spoiler
He had a twin when he was in his mother's womb, and he basically engulfed them and came out. Now this twin was unborn, so now it was getting closer and closer to being born as he grew older, so our Female MC says. I think she was bsing, and he just had a tumor or something at the plot of the Empress and her son. She does a C-section basically to get it out, and he recuperates with her help, via taichi and yoga.
